Does anyone else feel that with the introduction of Kaguya and BZ as the grand string-pullers of this show, the rest of the story instantly became irrelevant? I've been watching the anime again, and I'm on the Sasuke Vs Itachi fight. Back when I first saw this fight, it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Watching it now, everything just seems so pointless and irrelevant in the face of Kaguya and BZ's plans. I feel like kishi has pushed the story to a point where if ur not a god who has been plotting for hundreds of years, u are instantly irrelevant.

Does anybody else feel this way?

Yes I agree. Bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. imo these "gods" (Kaguya, Hagoromo, BZ, etc.) should've of been kept out of it. You're right their introduction and absurd power level and "everything went my way" mentality devalues the whole series and everything that has happened up until now.

I still enjoy the current story. What I'm saying is that the hype that was built up for the entire story for certain characters is now dead. Shinobi like Itachi, Hashirama, even freaking Obito have now all become completely irrelevant thx to these guys

I thought once Madara got the juubi and both his Rinnegan he should of been the final villain since apparently you cant get any more powerful......until black Zetsu ganks him

My answer is the same as what naruto said at the last page of the chapter. No, I don't think that they became irrelevant at all. BZ is just another delusional, self hyping guy, who all in all, did nothing but change the writings of uchiha tablet. Everyone made their own decisions, more or less. It's just how we humans are. So don't let it get to you, and think again. Did black zetsu told the 5 nations to unite?, Was it bz who planned naruto's and sasuke's life?, etc. Just continue the story because Naruto & Sasuke are about to prove him wrong.

Wish it had ended with Madara. At least we knew him from the start.

there story ended when jiraiya died and said that the new story is about to begin, the tale of uzumaki naruto. the story is not about itachi or anyone else, its about naruto and his fight.

Even Naruto has now become one of a many chosen ones aka Reincarnations. It makes his hall backstory irrelevant.

I think that is just BZ on a ego trip, he is patting himself on the back going "I am responsible for everything and all ninja are irrelevant", but as Naruto replied he didn't invent the story of Shinobi.

Think of it this way, its those irrelevant Shinobi that set the stage for BZ and Kaguya's downfall, Itachi, Jiraya, and all those others led to Naruto and Sasuke that are going to make all of BZ's plans irrelevant.

The story isn't over yet lols.

Black Zetsu a god? He's just knowledgeable and a schemer. He has no real power or technique as of yet.

Does anybody else feel this way?

The manga isn't over yet. Why would I feel this way?

Of course the hype is dead. The manga is almost over and you've seen everyone fight and know most of the story. Forgive Naruto for having a beginning, middle and end like a real story unlike the random, never ending cash cow, one piece.
