while i think you might be right about her being a shinigami i also think your idea about the mask is wrong i think there were so many so that noone could just grab the right one.

sort of like a trap the uzimakis are masters of the sealing jutsus so whos to say they didnt rig the fake masks with sealing jutsus so when someone chose wrong poof sealed. thats probably why orochimaru took so long to choose the mask he did choose so he wouldnt end up being sealed.

Its not really overpowered. You also need the Uchiha tablet which is in a tomb that can only be accessed by a sharingan user.
