Madara was toying against the Gokage then pwned Hashirama and Juubito, then was about to destroy Naruto and Sasuke (even Kishi had no way of saving them as he stated) and eventually got cheapshotted

Itachi stomped all his fight without going serious / having flashbacks (which shows he wasn't even struggling)

also both were stated to be invincible by the manga

now that Kishi got them killed by the plot (for some mysterious reason ) we'll probably never see their full power unless they get edo tenseid again

my question is very simple
would you like to see them come back fully go out ?

Having flashbacks does not mean he was not struggling lelz Lee, Hinata, Neji, Gaara, Naruto, Sasuke, Deidara etc. had them in battles they lost or had struggle.

We saw how Itachi was against Nagato he needed the help of 2 jins for that.

Itachi is an extremely weak uchiha who would die in a medium term battle from chakra exhaustion, Sakura with her regeneration could beat him if she just dodged his attacks and hes admitted he couldnt win in a 2v1 against Jiriya.
