It's probably nothing all too important, but I personally found it quite interesting: there is this very old Japanese folktale (10th century), called The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. It speaks of a beautiful maiden - Princess Kaguya - who doesn't come from Earth, but from the Moon. To summarize it briefly, it's about her life on Earth and how she tries to go back to the Moon to be with her Moon people (and in the end she does). She is also known as the Moon Princess Kaguya.

I just personally found it interesting that Kishi is doing his research and constantly including Japanese folklore in his manga, so I thought other people might like it as well! Cheers! ^^

Oh, I apologise in that case! I tried looking for similar topics first, but the amount of threads that came up with Kaguya's name in them was overwhelming so I gave up quickly :D Sorry for the repetition~

P.S: Thanks! :D
