One day there was a young girl with an incredible power to control ice and water.This girl's name was Solona Ishtar she came from a rich family that specialized in warfare, her father taught her the ways of the sword and many combat tactics as she was the heir of the family.
However tragedy struck as bandits attacked her home town...many people died as a result and Solona was sent away to safety as her father organized a resistance to drive off the invaders.
"Everything will be alright…. little one" Damien said as he helped his daughter get on a horse.
"But father they killed mother and everyone else...."Solona cried as she tried to wipe away the tears.
"Yes and I intend to make sure they suffer for it" Damien said as he put Solona's belongings on the horse.
"But why would they do this?why did they attack us? Solona asked as several towsnfolk hold back the bandits.
"That I do not know, however it's important that you get to safety Solona."Damien replied as he finished packing Solona's belongings.
"But Father I want to fight!" Solona protested.
"No! you are too important to risk dying in battle" Damien yelled as the bandits begin to break through the family stables.
"You are an Ishtar you will avenge our deaths if I die today" Damien said as he gave his daughter a final hug.
"Go Solona! Know I will always love you" Damien yells as he slaps the horse to get going.
"Goodbye Father..." Solona said as she rode off into the night.
Several years later Solona at 17 years of age survived the assault but became lonely.
"I'm alone..." Solona said as she travelled down a road seeing a town in the distance.
As she arrived at the town she meets a red haired girl.
"Who are you?" Solona asked as she tried to strike up a conversation with the girl.
"Oh you're a visitor, where are my manners? my name is Neria Salis" Neria replied.
"My name is Solona Ishtar, do you have shelter?" Solona asked as she got off her horse.
"Well…. I'm about to leave but if you tell the mayor that you need shelter, I'm sure he would let you stay for a few days."Neria said as she slung her pack over her shoulder.
"Where are you going?" Solona asked
"Well…. you probaly don't know this but I have a secret "gift", and I'm going to a place where I can hone that gift" Neria replied with a smile.
"What kind of gift?" Solona asked as her curiosity peaked.
"Well...I guess I can show you." Neria said as she created a small tree.
"Wow that's amazing!"Solona was in awe as she found someone who had the same kind of power she did.
"It's not perfect which is why I want to hone my skills"Neria said as she starts to leave.
"I want to come with you!"Solona yelled as Neria turned to her.
"Wait….. does that mean you have the same kind of power too?" Neria said as Solona created a eagle out of ice.
"My family is gone and I have nothing left besides my powers, I want to learn how to make them stronger." Solona exclaimed as Neria smiled at her.
"Sure, besides I'll be safer if there were two of us" Neria smiled as the two teenagers left.(To be continued)

"Hey look Solona there's a village nearby" Neria said as she and Solona cross over a hill.
"Should we stop there and rest?" Solona asked as the two walk down the hill.
"Yes, besides it's going to be dark soon and it will be dangerous travelling at night" Neria replied as she and Solona took a quick rest before moving towards the village.
As Solona and Neria reach the village one of the villagers greeted them,a perky woman named Elissa Rose.
"Hello there travellers"
"Umm…. hello to you too" Neria replied as she and Solona enter the village.
"Sorry for talking to you out of the blue but you girls aren't the ordinary sort are you?" Elissa asked.
"No we are not" Solona answered with a silent glare.
"Hahaha! I knew it. I can tell when people are strong or not just by observing them" Elissa laughed as she noticed Solona's posture change.
Relax you two I'm not going to rob you,I prefer going after richer targets"Elissa said as she tried to ease the tension.
"You are a thief ?" Solona asked as her hand rested on her sword.
"Yes I am, but I only steal things that people will never miss.by the way I haven't told you my name have I? My is name Elissa Rose master thief and infiltrator, if you two need somewhere to stay I can lend you my place for a few days."Elissa said as she introduced herself.
"Should we trust her?" Neria asked Solona as she keeps a eye on Elissa.
We have no choice... we need a place to stay and I doubt anyone else will give us free shelter" Solona replied.
As they relunctantly accept Elissa's offer Solona and Neria are given a tour around the village,before stopping at Elissa's home.
"Wow this place is huge!" Neria exclaimed as Elissa shows them their rooms.
"So this where you'll be sleeping" Elissa said with a smile.
"Thanks for being so kind to us" Solona said as she unpacked her things.

As Solona left the house she noticed someone leaping from a nearby structure.
"What was that about?" Solona wondered to herself as she saw the individual run away.
"Whoever that was they were agile enough to leap off that structure and not lose speed or injure themselves" Solona said as she drew her sword.
As she began training Solona created several ice targets and proceeds to cut them up with her sword,from afar Elissa was watching her train while taking note of Solona's abilities.
"The girl's got talent she's definitely not a regular swords woman." Elissa said with a smile.
As Elissa continued to watch Solona train she realized she needed to get something from the store.
"Okay...that's enough for today" Solona said as she sheathed her sword.
"What's taking Neria so long to get supplies?" Solona wondered aloud as she saw a suspicious group in the village.
" Those guys look like they are up to no good..." Solona said as she followed the group to the store.
As the group went into the store Neria had finished buying supplies before being caught in the middle of a robbery.
"Hand over everything you have!!!" the robbers yelled with weapons drawn.
Damn it! I can't use my powers from inside the store and I left my weapon at Elissa's house.."Neria said to herself as the robbers ransack the store.
Before they can leave Solona kills one of the robbers by impaling him with a ice spike.
"Who are you?!" one of the robbers asked.
"My name is none of your concern, return everything you've stolen and I will spare your lives." Solona replied as she drew her sword.
"She's just a girl let's kill her!" The robbers yelled as they charged at Solona.
"You guys never learn..." a mysterious figure said as the robbers are killed in a instant.
"So you were here all along.." Solona said in a indifferent tone as the mysterious figure revealed herself to be Elissa.
"Sorry about putting you through that but those robbers needed to die." Elissa replied as she searched the robbers' bodies.
"So who were those guys Elissa?" Neria asked as Solona showed a smile at seeing she is safe.
"Just a annoying bunch of fools who don't know when to stay away." Elissa replied as she return the stolen goods to the store owner.
"Thank you Miss Rose and thank you young lady for saving my store."The store owner gratefully gives Solona and Neria their supplies as the the trio left the store.
"So shall we return home? it's getting late and I need to get some sleep before patrolling the village." Elissa said with a smile.
"Why would a thief take patrol duty?" Solona asked.
"Because this is my home and I will make sure nothing happens to it." Elissa replied.
"Hmph, why bother? You can't protect all the people here by yourself." Solona asked.
"Solona, what a awful thing to say!" Neria said as she admonished Solona for her attitude.
"Hmm... I knew there was something about you that made you different from the rest... you have lost people close to you did'nt you?"Elissa asked.
"...Yes my parents were killed when I was young.." Solona replied in a sad tone.
"I see...I'm sorry for your loss,you asked why I protect the village by myself ? it's because my mother died here." Elissa said.
"Your mother died?" Neria asked.
"Yes she was stricken with an incurable illness and passed away several years ago." Elissa replied as the trio walk home.
"What was your mother like Elissa?" Solona asked as she observed the villagers.
"She was a great person and taught me everything I knew." Elissa said as she smiled at Solona.
"Okay we are here, today's been a long day so why don't you two get some sleep?" Elissa said as the trio go into the house.
"Sure I'm exhausted see you in the morning." Neria replied as she went into her room.
"Hey Elissa if you don't mind me asking, can I help you out on the patrols?" Sololan asked as she leaned back against the wall.
"Sure I don't mind having you along ... if you can keep up that is" Elissa joked as she prepared for the patrol.
"I can handle myself in myself in a fight or were you talking about something else?" Solona said sarcastically.
"Ooh, so you do have a sense of humor! I think we are going to get along just fine, be ready at sundown." Elissa said as she went to get some sleep.

As night came Elissa and Solona patrolled the village with Elissa watching things from the rooftops,just then Solona felt a weird sensation in her body as her powers start to flare up.
"What's going on?" Solona reacted in shock as a ice eagle came from inside her and then takes the form of a hooded woman.
"So we meet at last although I expected my mistress to be slightly older...but I guess you will have to do" the mysterious woman said as she locked eyes with Solona.
"Who are you and why did you come from inside me?!" Solona asked in a angry tone.
"(Sighs) And here I thought you would recognize me, after all I am a part of you.But since you don't my name is Aries, I'm a personification of your power." Aries said.
"You're...a part of me? Solona asked, shocked at what she just heard.
"Yes, although we were supposed to meet when you started your training at Mage's Peak, so something must have happened to cause me to appear before you." Aries replied.
"What exactly is the Mage's Peak?" Solona asked as she tried to make sense of everything.
"It is a special place where those gifted to control the power of nature itself go to train themselves and to connect with their inner selves." Aries replied as she explained everything to Solona.
Suddenly a change in the air occurs as large roars could be heard from the forrest.
"Hmph, it looks like there is a monster out and about..." Aries said as a large creature attacked the village.
"Well we have to stop it then!" Solona yelled as as she ran to defend the village.
"Come on everyone you have to evacuate the village now!!!" Elissa said as she tries to get the villagers to safety.
Soon the monster turns its attention to Elissa and attacks her however the monster missed as plant vines restrain it.
"That should hold him for a while." Neria said as she focused on keeping the monster restrained.
Meanwhile Solona races to it's location before being stopped by Aries.
"What are you doing? We have to stop the monster or else it will destroy the village!" Solona exclaimed.
"You stand no chance against that creature on your own...... you will need this." Aries said as she created a sword and hands it to Solona.
A sword? Strange... this sword feels like it's resonating to my touch. Solona said as she examined her new sword.
"That sword is my essence….. basically you hold me in your hands,use my power and make it your own.Farewell Mistress Solona, we shall meet again when you complete your training and become stronger, until then I will watch over you from your soul."Aries said as she returned to Solona's body.
