Fugaku Uchiha and Mikoto Uchiha decided to name their son Sasuke after Hiruzens daddy, Sasuke. They hoped that one day Sasuke would become an incredible shinobi like he was.

This proves it. Sarutobi > Uchiha.

The Uchiha Clan are so fodder they were ashamed to name their son after an ancestor or member of their own clan. I guess even Fugaku and Mikoto knew Madara, Izuna, and Indra were complete fodder. They choose the Sarutobi clan because only the most badass ninja rise from that clan.

Too bad the luck from Sasuke's name didn't rub off on him, he still gets Neutralized by Hiruzen and he still ended up being a fodder. I guess that's the true curse of the Uchiha, becoming fodder.
