Before delving into this, I’d like it to be noted that the basis for this thread was based on this thread ->
Premise
The affairs of the Naruto universe always have some kind of parallelism dynamic that separates or unifies specific factions. The initial one that we were presented with were the Senju and Uchiha, categorized as the descendants of the Younger and Elder Sons of the Sage of the Six Paths. However, with Kishimoto’s tendency to track back even further to explain origins, we learned not too long ago that Hagoromo was not an only child, and neither was his defeating of the Ten Tails. He had a brother; Hamura. The respective split of Yin-Yang was unknown, not such is the case between Indra and Ashura though. However, with recent chapter revelations, it opens up for some new possibilities.
Hagoromo and Naruto [
Right here basically asserted the dominant parallel between Hagoromo and Naruto. Up until now, we were all under the assumption that Hagoromo was the mere embodiment of Yin and Yang, hence why he was able to give Naruto and Sasuke his separate powers respectively. However, Kaguya, looking at Naruto, the user of the Sun Mark/seal, is reminded of her own son Hagoromo, who donned the Sun Mark/seal himself. This is a clear indication that the Yin-Yang sibling split happened between Hagoromo and Hamura as well. Which also asserts the point that Hamura was the Yin side.
Hamura and Sasuke
Compared to Naruto and Hagoromo, not much is shown here for parallelism sake. But, one thing they have in common is that their “popularity” in history/shinobi world, pales in comparison to their brothers. Naruto is regarded as the savior of the world and everyone on the battlefield and people across the land know of him, much like how Hagoromo is a legend in history and is known across the world as well. Hamura himself was lost in history over time it seems. Sasuke is not a complete anomaly in the world, but his “fame” is more or so isolated to Konoha and Kumo, paling in comparison to Naruto. With the Yin split most likely being true, this automatically creates a parallel for Sasuke and Hamura. What actually almost makes this assured is this scan of Kaguya talking [
AHK’s theory input
Here’s input directly from AHK’s theory which should be noted
Credit to AHK for the post itself. It all makes sense. Especially the ending part with the split. Kaguya was split into Hagoromo and Hamura, and Hagoromo was further split into Indra and Ashura, which was a plain line of descent getting slightly thinner as time moved on. The Yin-Yang split and balance again is another prominent theme in Naruto, further exemplified with how much Kishi decides to enforce it all the time.
Now, the power Hagoromo gave to Naruto and Sasuke was definitely sufficient in combatting Madara, but will not be in combatting Kaguya. Why? Because Madara was essentially peaking at the power of Hagoromo. So the combined powers of Indra and Ashura (Naruto and Sasuke) was enough to combat him. But the line of descent asserts that the original siblings of the parents are the only ones capable of combatting the parent. So in this sense, what Naruto and Sasuke have right now, is not enough. If you saw at the end of the last chapter, Naruto lost that little “punching war” with Kaguya, and was hoping Sasuke’s surprise attack would prove worthwhile. I think it’s pretty evident that it will fail miserably and they will realize how futile their efforts will be. This is where Hamura comes in.
Hamura giving power
Much like Hagoromo did with his “sons”, Hamura will do it for his Nephews in a sense. But not the same way that Hagoromo did so. I read in a prediction that the reason that Hamura was lost in history was because he was sealed in one of the sealing pots of the Six Paths. In doing so, he never aged, and he could come back and give power to Naruto and Sasuke/aid in the battle. In order to combat Kaguya to their fullest, Naruto and Sasuke will need to ascend to their final stages. Naruto = Hagoromo and Sasuke = Hamura. Both being proficient in one side but having an aspect of another.
If Naruto were to obtain Hamura's Yin split and get the Rin'negan, Sasuke would need to get his Yang split, and gain Senjutsu on a similar level to Naruto. Both essentially becoming Hagoromo and Hamura themselves, but being more prominent in one aspect.
Here’s what I speculate that Naruto and Sasuke will have:
Sasuke -> Two Sharrinegan's (Higher Dojutsu than Hagoromo to prove the split between Hamura and Hagoromo) and Hamura's Senjutsu (Slightly lower level than Hagoromo to again, compensate for the split as Hagoromo was the Yang and had the stronger body for Senjutsu). He has the highest level of Dojutsu possible+ the second strongest Senjutsu behind Naruto/Hagoromo along with his Uchiha powers.
Naruto -> Two Rin'negans (Lower Dojutsu than Sasuke to again, show that he is lower on the Yin scale than Sasuke with Dojutsu) and his Current Six Paths Senjutsu (Higher than Hamura's Senjutsu as he represents Hagoromo, whom had the stronger body to seal the Juubi inside himself in the first place). He has the second strongest Dojutsu behind Sasuke+the strongest Senjutsu along with the 9 Bijuu’s separate powers.

]. She IMMEDIATELY thinks of Hagoromo and Hamura respectively. So there was a definitive split of Yin and Yang, with Hagoromo being the Yang and Hamura being the Yin. What lays even more credence to this theory is the fact that Hagoromo had the Juubi sealed within him due to his strong body which is usually associated with Yang dominant characters. AHK’s theory input
Here’s input directly from AHK’s theory which should be noted
During this fight, I believe that Hamura died, possibly to protect Hagoromo, and gave Hagoromo a portion of his Yin chakra, so that Hagoromo might finish the job. Hamura’s chakra then assimilated with Hagoromo, adding to his chakra and changing it. If this holds true, then it also possibly explains how Hagoromo obtained the Rinnegan (the combination of Yin and Yang chakra). The addition of Hamura’s Yin with Hagoromo’s Yang made Hagoromo a complete being, just like his mother, although on a much lesser scale.
When Hagoromo had children, his chakra was split, just as Kaguya’s was split amongst him and Hamura. Indra received the portion of Yin chakra that was originally Hamura’s, while Ashura was given a piece of Hagoromo’s Yang chakra.
