This is typical post of Itachi fanboys on Obito vs Itachi thread . Judging from what Obito said , "If Itachi knew my secrets , I'd be dead" .

What are Obito's secrets you ask ? Kamui , his plans , the fact that he was a threat to Konoha as well as the leader of Akatsuki . Did Itachi know them ? No . And going by manga feats , Itachi was sick at that time even 3T Sasuke beat him , Kamui Obito would be overkill .

Lastly , did Obito say that Itachi would kill him ? Why do you jump into pointless conclusions ? Remember why Itachi joined the Akatsuki ? Oh yes to give intel about akatsuki to Konoha , so just inform the village about Obito and then Konoha would deal with him .

I see what you're saying but you can't forget that Itachi had no intent to kill Sasuke.

I think tobi said that in regard to the Amaterasu. Itachi didn't know tobi had Kamui and it wouldn't work on him, that was a secret he was talking about. If Itachi had known maybe he would've tried something else that would've caught him off guard.

Actually Klad, read it carefully. He was talking about the situation at the time. Setting up a post-mortem trap.

If you try to set up a trap against someone you know nothing about, you might be left at a disadvantage since you wouldn't know whether they'll have an ability to be able to counter your trap.

In this case, if Itachi had known about his secrets, he would've probably set-up a different plan that would actually work.

Take a good look at Konan. She found out about his Kamui and set up an effective trap. Unfortunately for her, Obito had yet another secret she didn't know about. Izanagi
