Chakra is the core part to every jutsu. To perform jutsu, one must mould their spiritual and physical energy to create chakra. The user can then utilize this chakra to perform feats not normally accomplish-able by a normal human, such as breathing fire, performing illusions and walking on walls or water. By mixing two different chakra natures, new elements can be created e.g. Ice Release is created by mixing water and wind. Many ninja are born with a natural affinity to one element, though they can still perform jutsu of other elements. There are five basic elements:
-Fire/Katon
-Fuuton/Wind
-Doton/Earth
-Raiton/Lightning
-Suiton/Water
Each element has strengths and weaknesses to another e.g. Fire is weak to Water but is strong against Wind, or Raiton is weak to Wind but strong against Earth.
-Bijuu chakra is a form of chakra that can only be used by Bijuu/Tailed Beasts or their Jinchuuriki. The colour of a Bijuu's chakra is red. Since this type of chakra originates from the Bijuu, it is naturally incredibly strong and comes in huge reserves. Access to this chakra grants the user different abilities and fighting styles e.g. Gaara's ability to manipulate Sand, Fuu's ability to fly and Naruto's quick regeneration and sensory capability. When a Jinchuuriki gains full control and mastery over their Bijuu, they can access these abilities at will and can enter different modes for their Bijuu.
-Senjutsu chakra is a form of chakra that is needed to perform Senjutsu/Sage techniques. This chakra increases the user's natural strength and endurance, as well as the strength of their Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. Unlike normal chakra, this chakra needs the moulding of physical energy, spiritual energy and natural energy to be used. However, the ratio of these energies needs to be equal and balanced. The larger the user's natural chakra reserves, the more energy can be used to generate Sage chakra. To gather this chakra, one must remain perfectly still. Pure chakra is the result of moulding the physical and spiritual energies. Once moulded, pure chakra is produced. This chakra doesn't have any special characteristics or abilities unless given them when the user changes the properties of the chakra to give it an element. To increase the amount of chakra available, a ninja must constantly train to build experience, and as a result more chakra will become ready to use. There are two ways to manipulate chakra when using ninjutsu: Shape Transformation (this involves control of the movement, form and strength of the chakra being manipulated) and Nature Transformation (this involves changing the properties of the chakra and giving it an element. This also includes Yin-Yang manipulation which means the balancing of the ratio between Yin and Yang chakra within a jutsu e.g. during Naruto's Bijuu training, when he was learning how to create a Bijuudama.
Elemental chakra is created by manipulating ones chakra into an element that they have an affinity for. There are five different types of elemental chakra: Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth and Water. As previously explained, each element has a weakness against one, but a strength against another. For example, if a Katon and Suiton technique of the same level would clash, the Suiton jutsu would win because it is the superior element. However, if a Katon and a Suiton technique of different level were to clash, and in this instance the Katon technique was of greater strength, the Katon technique would win.
While there are elements that are strong against one and weak against another, there are elements that are neutral against each other. In other words, if two techniques of the same element and power were to clash, they would both be negated. Though if these techniques were the same element but one was stronger than the other, the stronger one would triumph. Also, the technique that won the clash would not only defeat the other jutsu, it would also gain power from the defeated technique, and the user of the defeated technique would take more damage, since the winning technique gained in power.
Every ninja has an affinity for a certain element, this means that they will have better skill using that element than a ninja who doesn't have an affinity for the element. An example of this is the Uchiha Clan, they were a clan famous for their affinity and mastery of Katon/Fire Release. To see what elemental affinity a ninja has, they will use a piece of paper that reacts to small amounts of chakra activity. The reaction that the paper takes will vary.
-If Fire, the paper will burn to ash.
-If Water, the paper will dampen and become wet.
-If Earth, the paper will crumble away as dirt.
-If Lightning, the paper will wrinkle.
-If Wind, the paper will split in two.
Ninja aren't just limited to one affinity, they can have two elemental affinities as well. Ninja can also master all 5 elements without having an affinity for all of them, though they will face great difficulty doing so. Rinnegan users have the ability to manipulate all 5 elements. Kakuzu was able to use the Basic 5 through stealing people's hearts, and Hiruzen was able to use all 5 through only training.

By Part II, he could make a Chidori without the use of seals and could utilize Katon techniques with only one handseal. While it is rare, some ninja can perform hand seals with only one hand, e.g. Haku, Minato and Guren.

Fire is the result in a chemical reaction known as combustion. Flames are produced during this reaction, known as the ignition point. Fire is mainly composed of Carbon Dioxide, Water Vapour, Oxygen and Nitrogen. The flames created produce heat and light. For the fire to stay alive, fuel, oxygen and energy must be present.
Katon, or Fire Release, is one of the basic 5 elements. To perform a Katon technique, the user must mould incredibly hot chakra and breathe or exhale it through the lungs and mouth. Fire Release is commonly associated with the Tiger hand seal, the technique arsenal for Fire Release are mainly mid-long range jutsu that will cause explosive damage, much like a real fire. The Uchiha and Sarutobi clans are both known for their mastery over the element, since a majority of the members of their clans are born with an affinity to Katon.
Relationship with Wind: since wind is just air (which in turn is composed of oxygen and nitrogen) moving at an accelerated rate, it will strengthen a fire and can make it more deadly, seeing as the air's main components (oxygen and nitrogen) are also components of fire.
Relationship with Water: for a fire to sustain itself, fuel, oxygen and energy must be there for the fire to feed on. If one of those resources is deprived, then the fire cannot maintain itself and will die out. Water blocks out the oxygen that the fire needs, since the hydrogen and oxygen molecules are too tightly bound together for the oxygen in the water to be given to the fire. Water also eliminates the heat that the fire needs to maintain itself, since water is generally quite naturally cool.
Relationship with Lightning: fire is actually something that has the potential to create lightning, since when heat is launched into the sky, it creates thunderclouds or cumulonimbus. This sets up the conditions for lightning to come about.
Relationship with Earth: earth is an element that is fairly neutral against fire, though it tends to work more against the fire instead of with it, because the earth does not provide any of the things that keep a fire alive; fuel, oxygen and energy.
Kekkei Genkai:
Boil Release: This KG requires water and fire as the two elements to be mixed.
Dust Release: This KG requires earth, wind and fire as the elements to be mixed.
Lava Release: This KG requires fire and earth as the two elements to be mixed.
Mangekyou Sharingan: This KG's Fire Release is in the form of Amaterasu and Enton. These two techniques, with Enton being an actual Nature Release, are said to be the highest form of fire nature manipulation.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Fire is a very destructive element and is mainly attack-based, so it is good for attempting to harm or kill an enemy. It is also made stronger when combined with Fuuton, as the wind will give the fire more fuel. Fire also can help to be a diversion while setting up for other techniques, or even be used to prepare other techniques e.g. Kirin. However, Katon has many weaknesses and counters, such as using a sufficient Doton technique to block it or a Suiton technique to douse the flames.
Some notable users of Katon/Fire Release are Uchiha Sasuke, Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Madara, Sarutobi Hiruzen and Hatake Kakashi.

Fire+Lightning: not much is seen with respect to their combination though lightning/electricy can causes/spark fire. Heat is both attributed to Fire and Lightning. Lightning numbs but fire corrodes/eats/burns

As I listen to my sensei's instructions, I begin to knead my chakra from the centre of my body. Once the sufficient amount of chakra has been moulded, I start to spread it through my body, and the chaka passes through my chakra network to eventually float through the tenketsu located in my body.
Have I done as you asked?

Yes, now proceed to using nature manipulation and turn your chakra into fire chakra. This is achieved by thinking of the properties of fire, one which is heat. So simply superheating your chakra can be a nature tranformation of your chakra into fire chakra.

After hearing my sensei's instructions, I begin to imagine a flickering flame that is slowly gaining strength and heat, and then grows into a huge blaze. As I do so, I begin to heat up my chakra slowly, and eventually it reaches incredibly hot levels. I then feel my chakra take on the nature of fire.
Is that how it is done?
I considered dropping a reminder on your profile, but I didn't because that would probably annoy you and training has been quite smooth so far.
