It is sad that I have to even make this thread, but too many people seem to think that sunglasses would protect someone from infinite tsukuyomi. Let me get straight to the point.

Sunglasses do not block out all light. They are simply polarized to let light of specific polarization pass through them, and they therefore block out the light that does not have or attain the proper polarization.

If sunglasses blocked all light, then you wouldn't be able to see out of them!! The reason you can see things in general is because light reflects off of objects and hits your eyes, causing the brain to receive optical signals. If all light is blocked however, then no light could reach your eyes and, you would not be able to see.

Don't come to me with that "Thank you captain obvious" crap! There have been way too many people thinking that sunglasses block all light. Therefore, it clearly wasn't obvious to everyone (even though it should have been).

Most people wont actually know this, and it's not captain obvious :) so don't worry, I work in the Optics field, most sunglasses allow about 18% of visible light into eye (and if they have UV blocker, which they should have, 100% of UV). In regards to infinite tsukuyomi, which his a visual justu, one couldn't actually avoid it if closing your eyes.Keep in mind even when your eyes are closed some light still transmits through the eye lit (this is also what alerts your body that its morning and time to wake up because of sunlight transmitting through the eyelid), so the technique is quite an ingenious one, sharingans' in general are, but especially the tsukoyomi.

what about chakra glasses?

If any type of glasses were to work, it would have to be rikudou glasses. Not sunglasses. Not chakara glasses. Rikudou glasses (or better yet sharinnegan glasses).

Thank you Obito. Also, it is funny that you work in optics and your username and avatar is an Uchiha. Get it?

Even if sunglasses don't do much, people just use them as accessories, ya know.
Not many people care if it blocks out the sun.
Like douches who wear them inside.
Like this dude.

Sunglasses reduces the intensity of the light. It doesn't remove all light photons - just some of it. Too bad some kids don't realise this Lol

And VIZ scans stated that the light could "penetrate and see through even shadows". Madara said that, and he said that no one can hide from it.
