I don't think he forgot. I'm more confused by how Naruto and Sasuke are going to use this Yin-Yang sealing method on Kaguya. If Madara does return (assuming he still has Hashirama's chakra) why will Sasuke have to resort to using that to seal him and not the Yin-Yang method? Or just outright kill him with these insane power ups. It is all still very unclear.

i think they use yin yang to seal kaguya half half in them
and
use hashirama jutsu for madara
