Would you kill the bijuu or let them live?

Set aside reality for a moment and consider this: if you were in position in Naruto where you could kill (destroy forever) the bijuu or let them live, what would you do?

If you killed them, you secure the fact that the Juubi would never exist again and no single person could wield such power.

If you let them live, you could try and keep their power for yourself or at least under control but you would always have the risk of someone trying to take them or becoming greedy yourself.

(Note: I understand that if you were in a position to kill all the bijuu you'd already be pretty strong but I just want to stick to the basis of the question.)

Not without the mazo. Killing the bijuu because someone could use them for evil is like trying to blow up every steel and metal processing factory to prevent the production of weapons.
