....of course we saw the sacrifice/deaths of Ino and Shikamaru's fathers, but check out Ino's flash back.
It was a reminder of how much of a friend Ino was to Sakura. She defended her against bullies and as we've seen in other flash backs, helped Sakura learn to love herself.
And how did Sakura repay her?
By turning her back on her to compete for Sasuke's affection. Sakura did the thing that causes women to not trust each other: she broke girl code.
She disregarded her friendship and the feelings of the person who defended her and helped improve her self esteem to chase Sasuke who did indeed eventually come to care about her as a team mate. But let's be clear. That's the farthest extent to which her cared about her based on b/w manga evidence (conjecture and delusion doesn't count. Sorry SasuSaku fans.)
The same Sasuke who almost killed her twice and is willing to sacrifice her for the sake of the world and humanity.
