I read differently. I think it's the tiger in japanese mythology so yeah that might work better. But in Celtic I think it's the phoenix. Not too sure on that though.

And yeah; forgot about Kurama... I never really considered it a contract summon aside from that one episode/chapter though... Especially considering the other tails didn't have contracts on them, and it was "more-than-a-contract" while with Naruto.
