Lava walking no jutsu?

If ninja can walk on water why can't they use the same method on the lava? I'm not talking about taking a stroll around on some 1100c to 800c lava... I'm saying they could propel themselves away from the lava in a similar fashion that is used to jump from the surface of water. Instead of catching Sakura why not both fall, propel yourselves with the charka from your feet, and move to a new location... such as the wall and hang on there.

The jutsu only prevents them from sinking


It won't block out the heat or prevent their feet from melting

Because being two feet closer is really that much different, the purpose was to propel yourself instantly. Not stand still and burn. It would burn their shoes but they would still be alive and Naruto and Sasuke could focus on the God in-front of them.

Ninja jump from the surface of water all the time. It's as simple as propelling chakra from your feet on impact, that way you aren't there long enough to have any serious damage. If they burn their feet a little, then Naruto can just tap it and make it all better... Guy was a pile of ashes and he was saved.

That Heat would still affect them and hurt them, And plus if they stand on it their feet and shoes would burn along with everything else.

If they instantly jump on impact there would be damage to the shoes, that's about it.
