This scene caught my attention to the latest episode of Naruto Shippuden where Neji dropped his headband too before his death:

Is this some possible foreshadowing of Sakura's death? I mean, it's hard to believe that Kishi drew the scene for no reason apart to cover a few panels on the page.

We know Sakura has been receiving a lot of attention lately. She is one of the only few people who weren't affected by MT. Kishi, however, has conveyed the same message consecutively in three chapters:

Well you gave the scan but.. First Kakashi says "It's lava" and then he says : "No this feeling... It's not lava" you judge.

Sakura might nearly die, but I don't see her dying for real. Her doing something Sacrificial while saying that she would rather die than be a burden would be pretty awesome and would make me give major props to her character. TBH, it has been foreshadowed a lot

No I don't think so. The headband being taken off of Neji before his death was to show his curse mark on his forehead. Since,it was a main part of him becoming free from it.
