I meant the whole point of striking the chakra points is to shut down one's use of chakra.

The same chakra that would be needed to use Susanoo.

What else could he have done with his eagle injured? The reason he summoned it in the first place was to prevent his fall. It's not like he would've summoned another one.

Not sure why he didn't just use Susanoo instead of the eagle though.

Well he also would've faceplant into the lava if he hadn't summoned the eagle to prevent his fall in the first place.

I'm also guessing he didn't use PS to fly since he might've thought it would knock Naruto into the lava. Don't see any other reason why he didn't use PS to save himself(before Kaguya used the Senbon).
