Anyone Else AFRAID To Hope???

.....for Sakura dong something cool bc of all the prior disappointments?

All these false starts with Sakura and Team 7. I used to hate Sakura but now I just feel bad for the girl. We're approaching the end of the series and I want to hope that he has kept her around as a set up for something awesome....I mean, there MUST be a reason he has her there right?....

A thought crossed my mind a months ago that maybe her point in the series is to 'bare witness' to Naruto and Sasuke and tell their story to future generations. Maybe they're going to die after all and she will be the one to carry on what she has learned from them. Maybe she'll become hokage.

What is Sakura's purpose in the series in the LITERARY sense? We joke that she's pairing fodder, but she could've easily been a side character for that. Why did Kishi choose to make her a main character and give her all these highs and lows? He has gotten our hopes up for her so many times just to crush them time and time again.

We say he's trolling, but as a writer, he must have a reason for this. I'm looking for literary analysis here.

Any thoughts?

...Remember the Zabuza arc where you just KNEW Kishi had something good in store for her after AAALLLL those chapters standing on the sideline with that damn kunai and she showed good chakra control? What did she do? Throw a kunai which Haku caught and she said, "he caught it."...that was the end of that....

Then we had the forest of death where she was going to protect her friends. She had that awesome moment where she cut her hair and fought back. Then what happened? She got her ass beat and saved by Sasuke.

Then during the Sasuke reunion where he was kicking everyone's ass and she rushed to attack him? We were like,"**** yea!!" This is the new and improved Sakura *****! She can punch craters now! Get him Sakura girl!!! But nope! ****ing Kishi had Yamato rushed in ahead of her and got his ass beat too. But did she back him up and attack Sasuke anyway? Nope!

Then she did her thing against Sasori which was cool. Then what happened? She talked all this shit about how she'll get Sasori to tell her everything about Orochimaru and froze when Sasori threw something at her then had to be saved. Then she technically won the fight and faded into obscurity.

Then she decided to kill Sasuke. We were like, "Wow, how she has grown. God for her! Go Sakura! You're a true shinobi! Man, she's so brave! Finally Kishi is doing right by Sakura! Just one punch girl! Even if you don't win the fight, show us you've changed! Hooray for Sakura!!! She's about to surprise and shut down all the haters! Whoohoo!!!"......then what happened? The ***** couldn't do it and had to be saved.

Then she got the power up in the war and did her thing there. She knocked out a few bijuu clones and we were like hell yea!!! Finally Kishi is giving Sakura some shine! Yes! Finally! Team 7 will ACTUALLY work as a team for the first time ever in the series. Then what happened? She got SAVED YET AGAIN, the went off to the sidelines to heal the soidiers (which was cool since that is her job)...

Then Madara got his third eye and Sakura released the seal. Kishi hyped team work and we were like **** YEA!!! It's the end of the series so Kishi's about to pull out all the stops with the team work. Finallly! Let's go team 7! Whoohooo!!!

Then what happened? Naruto and Sasuke is doing all the work.

Guys, don't be surprised if Kishi really does have Sakura has her throw a punch or a kunai have it miss and have her say, "it missed" and then...that's it....it happens every time....every fcking time.....I can't even hate on Sakura anymore I feel so bad for her...SMDH

I am still holding out. But I agree with you. Everytime she gets a powerup I get all excited and I'm like finally, Sakura is gonna bring the game finally, then she does something ballsy (like rush madara) and then gets trolled, and has to get saved by Naruto and Sasuke,

Then only thanks Sasuke and Sasuke is like bish please, I only saved you because you were near Naruto and then she is all boo hoo Sasuke doesn't care about me for the unteenth time.

FOR THE LOVE OF INK STOP IT KISHI! give her a freaking power up and then let her hold her own and stop having her have to get rescued by EVRYONE AROUND HER when she displays a new power.

Personally this recent chapter proves something's gonna happen with Sakura and kakashi. When sasuke says the only reason their here is because they were in the right place at the right time. I feel like that's foreshadowing that they are going to do something meaningful. You make good points in your thread as well

That wasn't the instance Sasuke was talking about. He was talking about IT when he Shielded Naruto from IT. Sakura and Kakashi were in the right place at the right time.
