*A swarm of “tik-tik” flies are seen flying towards him*
(since it's only medium setting, these feed on blood and are known to spread a sleeping sickness in humans ^_^ I was gonna go for the giant sparrow bees as their stings attack the nervous system and can kill in a single sting but that'll be a lil hard ;p)

"Had to be something that flies!" He hops over a bush and slings the blade backwards as he touches ground.
Hint:
they like blood...blood...decent distraction if ya ask me <_<

He swats the flies off his clothes and hides behind a tree. He sucks in air and brings all his fingers together, his hand parts his flesh, blood covers his fingers then his hand. Blood leaks down his body, tripping down the corners of his shirt, pooling around the front of the tree. His hand slides out of his side and falls to the side, opposite the stab wound. He lets out his breath and stumbles from the tree. He hides behind a bush, the scythe ready.

He drops the scythe to the ground and grabs a large branch of dead leaves. He lights the branch and lights a tree. He picks up the scythe and cuts a tree, which falls onto the flies.

He kicks the bottom of the scythe, bringing it up closer. He cuts the fly in half. A small amount of blood continues to drip from his side.
