Dodge Totsuka, warp Susano'o or warp inside of it provided he already placed a mark on him. Or simply wait a few minutes until Itachi's poor stamina kills him or he goes blind from Susano'o spam. At the same time, Itachi has no counter to Hiraishin.

Itachi's only chance has always been genjutsu, but since the moment Minato showed the capacity to use Kage Bunshin, it gets easily countered. Not to mention his sensing capacity, partner method(with summons) and one of the best chakra control in this manga(capable to change its shape to match any other individual). In other words, he has at least 3 methods to identify/escape

1- If Itachi doesn't keep up Susanoo, he gets killed instantly
2- Susanoo itself can get swaped with Goshun Mawashi
3- Minato has a terrific stamina advantage with his massive chakra reserve when Itachi has low chakra
4- Itachi's MS techniques have heavy drawbacks. Minato's don't, so he can easily take advantage of any opening

And he still has trump cards like Sennin Mode(he can use fully with Pa/Ma) or the Rasen Senkou Chourinbu Kousanshiki we've yet to see

First of all, the fight would go like this: Minato looks at Itachi, gets caught in Tsukuyomi, the end.

Now, let's talk about those 2: Itachi's smarter and when healthy, has a stamina A LOT BIGGER than Minato's, so trust me, keeping his Susano'o when he's healthy won't be a problem. All Minato will do is FTG and that has been proven to take a lot out of your chakra, so he will be exhausted if he spams it too much. Let's suppose Itachi and Minato both get tired; Minato can't use FTG anymore and Itachi cannot use Susano'o either - Minato without his speed is mid-jounin at best and Itachi could read his base speed. He would then put Minato under a Genjutsu or simply use Amaterasu on him.

Minato fans: It's alright for you to be his fan, he's an awesome character, but you're giving him more credit than he deserves, especially because the FTG was proven to be crap; Tobirama got FODDERIZED by an almost-blind base Madara, and Sage Mode Minato has the same story against Juubi-Jin Madara (whom didn't even move to begin with). Even Obito, whom is over-hyped because of a Jutsu similar to Minato's, but actually more deadly (Kamui), admitted inferiority to Itachi.

By the way, the moment you talked about Ma and Pa being able to help Minato reach SM, or the "Rasen Senkou Chourinbu Kousanshiki" we have yet to see demonstrated you're just an idiotic Minato fanboy. You're making fanfic to help him win a fight? Then I could say that Itachi would stomp him with his Perfect Susano'o "we have yet to see."

Itachi isn't smarter, and cried about his chakra after using Amaterasu and Tsukoyomi. Minato could acquire Sage mode so he has lots of chakra. FTG uses lot's of chakra, which only supports mine statement about Minato having a large chakra pool. Tobirama blitzed Izuna, which proves that FTG is too fast for the MS. When did Obito admit inferiority, LOL. Madara and Itachi aren't the same. Itachi will never use Susanoo if not neccessary. Minato can just avoid eye contact, or if he somehow gets caught, he could teleport away, far enough to be safe from genjutsu. I am not a Minato fan, but he wins here.U_U
