Kakashi overall did a lot more than gai during the war.

Gai honestly should be dead. He opened the 8 gates and ****ed madara up but in the end madara still healed in seconds leaving gai turning into ashes. Madara was joking around and having fun with him the whole time

Gai and Kakashi are undisputable for number one spot. In fact, other than the Naruto and Sasuke duo, Kakashi and Gai are probably the two MVPs of this whole war. They've been involved from the very beginning and have been extremely active throughout it all. Nobody did more than them in the entire battle, other than the two protagonists themselves.

The only other Jonin even worth mentioning are Darui and Kitsuchi, both of which pale in comparison to Kakashi and Gai. If Killer Bee counts as a "Jonin" then he definitely is up there with Gai and Kakashi, probably a notch below.
