Naruto is intelligent but not educated

Naruto grew up without his parents. He failed the academy a few times because he did not care enough about it. He had nobody to support him, be kind to him and help him.

Once Iruka was kind to him and treated him to Ramen, things slightly changed. He still failed. But soon he learned an even harder technique in a very short time.

Naruto learned Rasengan in a few days. Minato did not manage to add Nature element to Rasengan. Naruto did.

The only reason why he is not more analytical is because nobody helped him improve his analytical skills. Though Naruto often analyzes in fights. But he could be even better, if he had someone to help him. Kakashi and Jiraiya did help him but never focused on his analytical skills.

Take any genius and leave them in seclusion, don't even give them the most basic parenting at any part of their lives (Sasuke had parenting until he was 8; good enough foundation), and make them feel like they have to act stupid to get acknowledged, and their potential goes from 10/10 genius intellect to 5/10 normal intellect, with a lot of mistakes at times.

I think Naruto could have potentially been as smart as Minato, at an even younger age, due to having such an intelligent dad and mom, even if he was only raised by them the first eight years of his life, like Sasuke was with his parents.
