Well Not Exactly Talk... But To Ask Whats Your Opinion About It ? I Think The Pirates Are The Good Guys xd Because :

Would You Spend 40 Pounds Just For A Video Game ? Just For A Thing That People Get Bored Of Sooner Or Later ? Think What People Could Buy For The Money They Spend On Video Games Or Programs ? And The Good Pirates Make The Releases Free For Those Who Can't Afford It, Do Not Think They Should Spend So Much Money Just For A Game (im one of those)... Is It Worth It ?! No ! OFC Not ! I Do Not Understand People That Say Piracy Is Not Good Or Disrespecting The Game Creators. The Creators Of The Game Make Millions Just Through A Few Days, I Think They Don't Even Feel The Few Coins *lol* That They Lose To The Ones Who Download Pirate Versions. So Whats Your Opinion :

Are You A Person Who Wastes Money On Video Games/ Programs ? Or Are You A Person Who Saves Money By Downloading Pirate Versions ?

well i like them a lot theres a bulgarian site its not that much piracy but it has a lot as well i have been in that site for around 2 years now and i have around 1 terrabite of downloads xD(terrabite is bigger then gigabite like gigabite is bigger then megabite) anyway its totally unfair for people to charge around 60 or 70$ for a F* video game or 20$ or more for a movie

Its depends.

If its a game for a second or third gen console then I would buy it.

If its one for the PS1 or N64 or one that was never released in Norway/Europe then I would download it and play it on an emulator. (If they want to bust us for play their games for free then they should try selling them here.)

Yes to Piracy, I dont like to pay 150$ for windows or even more for Office.
I mean no private user has licenzed Windows here, let alone the games.

Companies have to use licenzed software though.

Well I have 25+ ps3 games atm and I've bought them it all. Mainly because the ps3 is unhackable (or too much effort to hack) which means legit is the way to go. I also have a job so that helps But hey, if I'm a fan of developer such as Naughty Dog who make the wonderful Uncharted series, then I wouldn't pirate their game even if I had the choice. They deserve the sales. Also I don't play PC games.

Hmmm... like 6 years ago I always bought original CD's & DVD's. Now... it's torrent and google search >__< Still I do buy DVD movies sometimes ( etc. Dark Knight, Pirates of Caribbean... ) and some games. But simply I'm not downloading games because I'm not playing them. As for music I can't get any originals , well I could only order them in web and get after some months...

Damn it... this thread made me wanna buy original music CD's so badly... <___<

The irony of it all is if the distributors only take a smaller percent of the game price then yes I would have played the legit game, however unlike you people they need to export the game to certain areas which is not so fully developed as your countries.

The mark up on a game is boosted to a 100% when going through customs on our side, so where your bitching and moaning about games for a mere $60 - $100 we are coughing nearly double that for pc games. So In all honesty I dont find it worth it to purchase a game legit. The only games I will purchase is games that is really outstanding and where a lot of work have actually gone into, also Its not worth it to organize it via the Internet as the amount of monetary value of our currency is not nearly enough to justify a purchase.

So if game developers really did some home work and dropped their prices in half then yes, alot of people whom would have ripped the game, would rather purchase a legit version. I would be one of them. And one of may functions is development so I now how heavy illegal copies affect your sales and how it compromises your cash, but if you dont over sale your products you can actually make alot more money!
