I'll be honest, I made this thread in response to the people that made vs threads of Itachi fighting, Ay, and 3rd Raikage.

Some of you may be thinking this thread will just be pure Itachi wank, if you consider wanking as pointing out overlooked feats by some members on here, then yes that is considered "wanking".

Anyway, let's get in to this shall we?

Hand signs: I will be specifically talking about his fight with part 1 Kakashi, and Hebi Sasuke here because both fights note his hand sign speed. Despite having 3t Sharingan, Now I want to note on that same page, Itachi stabs him with a water clone, i'm ignoring Kurenai's statement because Deidara noting Sasuke's speed was more impressive. Anyway, before people bring up that Kakashi countered with his own water clone, don't forget that he also came in to that fight with some prep time,

Now for Hebi Sasuke's fight... Now why is this a big deal? Because Sasuke has 3T Sharingan! Anyway, I just wanted to talk about his hand signs because two 3T users couldn't even keep up.

Hand to hand combat: Now this is where I expect people to call me an Itachi fapper. But i'll use the manga to back up my claims. Itachi's taijutsu is comparable (not necessarily better!) to KCM Naruto and Ay. Before you post, you must read these scans.

(you could argue it was because he didn't want to hit/fight Itachi, i'll admit that). Now in this next scan KCM Naruto manages to grab Itachi, but Now I said his taijutsu here is comparable because he was able to stand up to KCM Naruto, he didn't get fodderized. If people are going to disqualify this because he was edo, edo tensei does not change your power, it gives unlimited Stamina. That still doesn't even deny the hand sign speed scans, because he was alive for those.

Now going up against KCM Naruto like that was quite the feat. He also dominated in taijutsu against Hebi Sasuke, he kicked him to the wall (arguably was in Tsukuyomi at the time), threw him, and kicked him in the face in that fight. I am lazy pulling out the scans, but Hebi Sasuke couldn't touch him (Zetsu stated he should have dodged the shuriken with ease).

To add more fuel to the fire: , and touching him (Sharingan pre-cog though obviously). Itachi was already better than Sauce at Taijutsu. How about KCM Naruto? The same guy that fought on par with Itachi in a little taijutsu scuffle I mentioned above.

Anyway, that's all I have to say. Do you agree?

Itachi is overrated, he`s not as good in Taijutsu as Rock Lee Gai, or the Hyuga clan member, especially the genius Neji hyuga.

his taijutsu is elite, but if you think its better than Ays or Raikages your crazy. the points you made prove his taijutsu is not underrated. his taijutsu is superb...but hes dying against the raikages because of something you didnt take into account. attack power and defence... he may have better taijutsu form, but itachi could land 100 consecutive punches and still lose by getting punched once. they have too much power and physical defense to be defeated by itachi in taijutsu

Itachi's taijutsu is where it should be in the databook, a 4.5. He has very impressive speed and handseals, we have known this. He isn't beating any of the raikages in cqc though. Naruto's taijutsu is nothing special without frog kata

Are you implying that Madara would obliterate Hiruzen in a 1v1?

What I was trying to say was that he was at least in a comparable level. Obviously Ay and KCM Naruto > Itachi in taijutsu. Good point on attack ower, rep.

in form, yes. itachi could dance circles around them if they were not that strong and fast. but with that speed strength and defense, gai is the only person killing them in taijutsu and hes the best in taijutsu in the NV

You have a point with the hand sign speed. Also the fact that he conceals his signs vs diedara was also a good point. It adds to itachis tactical advantages and thinking for fights.

The fight between the 4 elite ninja is tough to gauge. Its a moment when their allowed to speak to each other and its unclear how hard their fighting. But if sasuke was able to read A's movements with the sharingan to be able to compensate for movement speed. Also like in the pre-shippuden episodes of sasuke vs naruto when several lvls of nine tails power on naruto were shown vs sharingan lvls. Then itachi being able to keep up with KCM naruto makes a little sense. The chakra arms weren't being used. But if naruto is going all out we're gonna give the cake to naruto for taijutsu there. I think you agreed to that.

I think itachis decision making. In strategy and command. Are exactly what put him on a different level then other shinobi. Just like kabuto said when he lost control of him. His sharingan and insight with the way he thinks. Are a perfect combination for the way he fights. So as to his taijutsu abilities. I think he would rely on it only in a situation where he deemed it important. Like say a fight he wanted to drag on and talk to his opponent and stall. For moments where his taijutsu would actually be effective. A kick here, a block there. And actual jutsu where its needed. The actual level of his taijutsu is probably just below the noted taijutsu fighters. Because at some point he would have to use his abilities i think. A and B. He could spar with guy but only enough to parry.

I think his lvl of taijutsu is as you've stated. But its not his kill blow attack.

10000% agree with this. Taijutsu is more of making the most of a situation. It's been clear since chapter 143 he's a genjutsu based fighter

as for his taijutsu, naruto isnt even a taijutsu specialist like lee/gai/raikage and he wasnt using his shunshin which prompts others to compare to minato

hand to hand combat=/=shunshin

Itachi wasn't going all out for that fight. He literally gauged every single attack sasuke used and adjusted the fight to go perfectly as he wanted. While sustaining minimal damage until his death. He took the shuriken in the leg for extra blood loss. He started coughing up blood cause he was no longer prolonging his life for this fight. And then passed out dead after giving sasuke his powers. That was it.

I honestly feel like theres a moment in that panel where itachi has a choice of how to deal with the shuriken. where he could finish the seal. Or something else. But he chose a simple form of dodge so he could take some sort of hit. So yea. His speed is there i think.

Had itachi gone all out in that fight sasuke would have been dead inside tsukiyomi anyway but meh.

Now for Hebi Sasuke's fight... Now why is this a big deal? Because Sasuke has 3T Sharingan!

Sasuke thought it was a Shadow Clone, hence why he thought he missed the hand seal. It was actually a Crow Clone. It never had a hand seal.

KCM Naruto isn't a taijutsu monster. Actually, Naruto's Taijutsu is quite average, and KCM doesn't boost that (understand that I am talking about skill in taijutsu, and not overall physical capabilities). SM boosts Taijutsu, but KCM doesn't.

There is nothing arguable about it - Sasuke was in Tsukuyomi. is when the genjutsu starts (the panel focusing on Itachi's MS). is right after Sasuke broke the genjutsu.

Besides, Sasuke is also pretty average in pure taijutsu, when his sharingan precog isn't there to help - Itachi's precog equalized it, so Itachi (being better at taijutsu on a base level) would have the advantage.

To add more fuel to the fire: , and touching him (Sharingan pre-cog though obviously). Itachi was already better than Sauce at Taijutsu. How about KCM Naruto? The same guy that fought on par with Itachi in a little taijutsu scuffle I mentioned above.

In regards to Naruto, that was pure speed, not taijutsu (incorporating skill). Speed is good for a blitz (if you're fast enough to attack before the opponent can react), but if that isn't the case, then taijutsu takes the stage. Slower combatants with better skill in taijutsu can definitely overwhelm stronger/faster combatants.

Anyway, that's all I have to say. Do you agree?

More-or-less, I do. I never really saw Raikage as being an expert in taijutsu. He's more of a hulking brute. He depends on his speed, strength, and durability to get him through, not necessarily his skill to win him the fight. If someone can react to his speed, and can get past his defense, then they can overwhelm him. Itachi would certainly be able to keep up with him and his basic Raiton speed.

A lot of people brush over Sasuke's skill/speed with his weapons, but they are a dangerous asset.

Wouldn't all clones require some sort of hand signs? 3T Sasuke broke Itachi's 3T genjutsu with ease at the start. I'm assuming you're suggesting it was genjutsu he used on Sasuke.

KCM didn't boost his fighting? Then why was he capable of reacting to V2 Ay's punch, or going toe to toe with Itachi? Naruto before that got fodderized by Kakuzu seconds after FRS failed.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with the Tsukuyomi point. He was in it when he got kicked to the wall, but when he was thrown and kicked in the head that was before that panel.

Sasuke is average in pure taijutsu? What is average about slaying Oro's 1000 fodders without breaking a sweat, stabbing Yamato with his sword, putting his hand on Naruto so fast that Team 7 didn't even see it coming, dodging Ay's punch, and KB's lariat? 3T Pre-cog is what gives Itachi and Sasuke a fighting edge yes, and yes 3t pre-cog was equalized and Itachi is the better fighter, which is still impressive considering what Hebi/MS Sasuke did. CE Sasuke was already on par with Rock Lee's unweighted speed.

Two others made the point that motion speed =/= fighting speed. That is true to an extent, but you still need speed. Itachi and Rock Lee both noted that you can have sharingan and have better reflexes but if you're body isn't fast enough you'll get hit. So depending on how slow we're talking about, that's not going to help. We've seen Sasuke and Itachi's speed though, they're ridiculously fast so luckily they can keep up.

I don't know how Naruto only used pure speed. Yes he just tried to outrun Ay, but he also didn't want to fight Ay to begin with, he just kept taking his hits. V2 Ay is the fastest, normal character in the Narutoverse (excluding FTG), Naruto was still able to guard against his attacks. KCM Naruto dodged Itachi's attacks, and was able to grab him, yes Itachi did break loose. But he showed superiority by a margin in their little fight.

I can agree that Ay, and 3rd Raikage are more of blitzing people than fighters. What makes them deadly is how tankable they are, fighters like Sasuke and Itachi can dodge their punches but pure Taijutsu won't damage them. 3T Precognition just happens to be a big advantage against them.

I agree with Sasuke's ninja tool usage. I'm not giving because Amaterasu doesn't use hand seals in the first place, it seemed he was faking for w/e reason. But the tactic he used against Deidara was a gigantic feat, even from the ground he was capable of beating Deidara in the air.

KCM Naruto and A are not exactly what you can call taijutsu masters (especially Naruto) to begin with.

That was kenjutsu from sasuke, which sasuke is exceptionally good at. However, he is only slightly above average in pure taijutsu.(sasuke I mean)
