Kimmimaro importance to Orochimaru relevance to Otsutsuki Kaguya/Sage powers?

I was just trying to pin point something on my mind..
Kimmimaro was very important to Orochimaru. I'm guess its because of his ties to Kaguya and sage mode...


Can anyone clarify?
