Should 8th gate even be used?

Seriously though, Gai went up against the strongest person he'd ever met, or rather anyone's ever mef, and he failed to use it.

Instead he relies on 7th gate.

I doubt that anything would push him to use it if even juubi Madara didn't.

That means that he won't ever start in 8th gates even if it's against the most powerful being.

8th gate is a suicidal tech anyways, so even if its used in a vs, its a stalemate at best. And yes if its in character he can die before even using it.
