In so many animes that I've watched, anyone who has a rapid healing ability's prowess has been represented by steam coming from the wounds.

With Naruto, Madara, Tsunade, Shido (Date A Live), Rin (Blue Exorcist) and so many more....... it's all steam.....

Only person that I haven't seen it from that I can currently remember is Aizen in his fight with Ichigo when he slashes him diagonally, it was bubbles instead.

Anyways, does anyone possibly know why?

Edit:Thanks to hixa kuogame to point out that it's steam and not smoke.

The cells rush to heal the cut so fast that they produce smoke from their feet. Like the cartoons.

Heat - multiple cells are regenerating are a rapid speed which cause the blood to boil producing heat on the external surface of the body.

There is a production of heat during the regeneration. But still doesnt explain all that smoke. I guess to add to the dramatic effect.

I know, I just made that up. >.> However, I figure it has something to do with the blood. I do not think I am wrong. Just a little off.

The repair and regeneration of cells take part during mitosis. Tsunade uses Mitotic Regenation but I dont remember her smoking up.
Still think its dramatic effect.

Its steam and idk i guess since the cells are overworking themselves they heat up causing the steam.

its like welding or something. The heat comment made earlier plus the welding effect. Dead skin particles with blood and stuff. All together = steam
