Exactly. The politics in this country(with regards to both liberal and labour) have gone downhill. Watching a snippet of the politicians in parliament is like watching an episode of the big bang theory. It's not like they are doing a good job. There's climate change, our 667 billion debt, job losses etc.

The politics in this country are a joke. Tony Abbott has done nothing to aid in the prevention or delay of global warming, and instead scrapping the carbon tax, and in effect pretty much promoting usage of carbon emissions and the burning of fossil fuels etc... . There are so many job cut and loss reports on the news these days I've lost count. Our debt is also climbing as well, further adding to this monstrosity called our government budget.

I honestly really wanted to have the right to vote just so I could go Greens for the election. By far the worst policy introduced is the one regarding refugees and their entry into our country. That, is simply bullshit. For what reasons he has created some of his policies are just a bloody mystery. My education is suffering because the economy is more important :| . There won't be an economy if I don't finish school and Uni to get a job. But the people got what they voted for, they wanted this prick as the PM in parliament, so they can have him as PM.

Anyways, I don't see a problem with supporting gays. In-fact, I look at it like natural population control.

Last election was my first time voting, and I essentially did a donkey vote since I didn't care.(they all suck) The problem with refugees(aside from the boat stuff) is that it costs less to outsource a job to an overseas immigrant, and that means that there is less jobs for Australians.(I believe the government has changed something with regards to that.)

I can vote in another 4 years I think, if the minimum voting age is 18. Yes, but having immigrants come to Australia can also increase business opportunities, like overseas connections and the chance to off-shore some businesses and open some offices in other countries. I can see where he is coming from in regards to pension age and all that, but that doesn't really do much in regards to the workforce.
