Is Hinata stronger than Neji. I ask this because Hinata can use the full power of the byakugan and Neji is limited due to his curse seal on his forhead. Can anybody help?

I don't think Hinata is stronger than Neji. Neji is a prodigy. Hinata has the potential to be more powerful, but Neji is more skilled in use of the Byakugan.

I don't think its that simple, hinata is designed to fight someone like neji. Her defensive style is made to be able to counter anything that neji does.

Ok, that may be so, but that doesn't necessarily make her more powerful. Different shinobi will match up differently against varying opponents. Hinata may match up well against Neji, but overall Neji is more powerful.

I don't remember anything saying that the curse seal on his forehead made him weaker than the main branch... it's just there as a precaution in case he or other members of the secondary branch step out of line, and the main branch people can fry their brains.

Ok, here's the short version.

The cursed seal Neji has:
1. Brands him and shows he's part of the branch family.
2. Allows their brain to be fry if the step out of line. (Takeo said that earlier)
3. Seals up their Byakugan when they die.

The only difference between Hinata and Neji is that Hinata is (or was) taught gentle fist and techs because she was from the main house, Neji on the other was ditched and he learnt gentle fist and techs on his own. (Because he's a genius)

like its still just hidden power waiting to be found out.

Nope. Neji's not a jonin for any reason. She still hasn't shown much to consider her stronger.

I do believe all of you have good points but i think Hinata is alot stronger than ppl think Neji maybe a genius everyone knows how Hinata feels about Naruto she's strong all the time not just wen Narutos watchin her she pushes herself alot harder than Neji does and i believe she's alot closer to Neji than ppl think and i think she'll surpass Neji or be as Equaly good as him never count out Hinata

I think neji is stronger but he has a limit also neji seems better because he was training hinata at one point but if hinata just practices she could be better

that is true Neji did recieve training off Hinata's father

Actually it was said in the manga and in the anime that neji is a genius of his clan and some other stuff about him being the gifted one from his clan or something.

I think Hinata is far more stronger than Neji and when Hinata is really close to Naruto as in Hinata right next to Naruto Hinata would be even more stronger than Hiashi Hyuuga himself.
