Arent "Obsessed" with their main character, Basically when i say "Obsessed" i mean they always make them do everything and always over praise them and etc, i like when Mangaka's use all of their characters in the story and just treat them just as they are, "Characters", because some mangaka's, they make their main character, similar to theirselfs
Basically like when your making a character for a online game and you make it to your preference, and giving him a name that you like and etc, So some mangaka's treat the main character as themselves and stray away from the fact that their just "Characters", and it makes the story unrealistic, With their "Over-praises", and making them do everything things and etc, That's why i like mangaka's who just treat their characters the same and has a balance of giving certain characters shine where its needed and proper development when needed
I especially wanted to make this thread because of a recent Interview from Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of
"Hunter x Hunter", He said that he is prepared to take some "Reader backlash" because of some-things he's gonna do in the story as of late, and some-one that was reviewing Hunter x Hunter said that, when togashi was talking about
"The readers-backlash", that he was talking about how he might not show much of the main characters,
Gon,killua, kuripkika, leiorio, much in the new arc and focus more on the supporting characters, I really like his creative thinking
Even though a lot of people would love to see Gon and killua and the rest of them again, because of the long hitaus that togashi was on, I still love togashi's use of the characters, i like how he doesn't always Overly-shine Gon, and he doesn't always make him the Main star of everything, and he balances out the character shine, i think too many mangaka's make their main characters so Centric to everything and plot-shield them wayyyy to much in their story, so i like the way Togashi treats all of his characters the same, even though we all know that Every Mangaka gives a little Favoritism their main characters
But i feel as if some do it to much in their story's, so i really like when mangaka's give all their characters good development and don't always make their main character do everything in the story.
