No and "Satanism" isn't "Devil Worship"

this is an decade long argument, lets just say music is an expression of yourself. as general this is true, but how we interpret the songs are due to individualism, if someone say's hillsong is illuminati would you believe it also? metallica and other rock bands only wants to express how they interpret their environment and their interpretation of what they feel.

Satanism is worship of satan. Satan is the devil. Put two and two together
There are different types like for instance Non-theistic Satanists don't worship the christian devil they are more humanistic.

Man the so called "Satanism" is everywhere, I don't believe in any of it. But there are the satanic symbols and subliminal messages in the band.

Metallica has no ties (that I Know of ) to Anton Lavey's church of Satanism. So no, it's just a label placed on by conservative people that associate the dark themes of the music with satanism. Though, there are definitely some black metal bands out there that are actually "satanic" just like there are tons of metal / metalcore bands out there that are "Christian". In metallica's case, no.

Considering Hetfield was a Christian (and still believes in a higher power) and Hammett is a Buddhist, then no.
There's very few theistic satanists in metal, despite there being countless bands with satanic imagery.

They can be considered Satanic depending on interpretation of their lyrics.

I don't consider Metallica as a satanic band, tbh. But oh well, let him think what he wants to think.

Yeah but people should just read the lyrics.
Nothing about satan.

Kill 'Em All has Four Horsemen which is a biblical reference to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse found in the Book of Revelation.
Ride the Lightning has Creeping Death which is reference to the 10 plagues, Passover and the jewish exodus.

Hardly satanic.

THIS is satanic:

They are far from, I guarantee I'm the most knowledgable member on this base when it comes to Metallica and the quickest answer is they're not. Your friend clearly hasn't listened to them or doesn't understand the meaning of Satanic

It brings tears of happiness to see someone that knows what they're talking about with Metallica +rep
PS: did you know Kill 'Em All's original name was supposed to be "Metal Up Your Ass" but label companies rejected it?
