Question.

Do you want me to just go textbook and explain things to you and what not or do you want me to RP in character and make the training more interesting?

I don't like passing up the opportunity to improve my roleplay so I choose the second option, RP in character. I need to get Ino's character down so excuse me if I mess up a couple of times with her character. >_<

The character I'm using is a Psuedo Character for training purposes just to let you know.
_________

The sound of foot steps could be heard approaching you from the front as you. It wouldn't be long before you spotted the blond haired man walking toward you. He wore Konoha's flak jacket however he hid his scratched headband his his pocket to hide the fact that he was a missing-nin. He stopped a few paces before you with both hands in his pocket.

He smiled at the lovely girl before him. "The beauty of the women in my clan never ceases to amaze me." Shin said devilishly. "Hello there, my name is Shin. You must be my new student Ino-chan"

He smiled at the lovely girl before him. "The beauty of the women in my clan never ceases to amaze me." Shin said devilishly. "Hello there, my name is Shin. You must be my new student Ino-chan"
As the man approached Ino, she became enthralled with his appearance. It had been a while since she had seen such a gorgeous looking man especially once he introduced himself. Based on his words, she deduced that he was a Yamanaka like herself though as being very well acquainted with everyone of her clan, she became skeptical whether she should trust him or not. But she thought, "Look at this guy...he couldn't intend to hurt me. After all, we share the same blood in a sense. Let's see what this is about. I promised father I would behave." Ino then blushed slightly and realized the man had been staring at her with those beautiful eyes. She spoke hoping to regain some of her composure.

"Ahem...you make me nervous staring at me like that. And yes, my name is Ino, Ino Yamanaka. My father told me to meet you here. For some reason he wouldn't tell me more about you but it isn't my business to delve into my father's things. (bows) Arigato Shin-sensei. I really appreciate you taking time off your busy schedule to help me become better. I will do my best to not disappoint you. I can't give up when my family's name is at stake here. Hee hee."

Since Ino had had her hair untied and flowing freely like a golden river, she then got serious as he tied her hair in a ponytail. A determined expression overtook her dazed-schoolgirl look. She was ready for her lesson to commence though she had to admit she felt a bit out of place similar to how a fish would feel without water. She did not know what to expect and her usual charms on her father to get information didn't seem to work this time. She imagined Sakura making fun of her for being so casual and unfocused. Ino said under her breath.

"I won't lose to you, you billboard brow!"

"I have one important question for you and based on your answer I may have another one." Shin cleared his throat. "How old are you Ino-chan?" Shin asked with a grin.

"I have one important question for you and based on your answer I may have another one." Shin cleared his throat. "How old are you Ino-chan?" Shin asked with a grin.
Feeling shocked at his question, Ino began to suspect something else about this man but she couldn't put her finger on it. She answered in a rather arrogant manner towards the man though she made sure not to overly offend him.

"Um...I guess you haven't been around much have you? I'd rather not tell you my age. A lady never reveals her age you know. I am sure your mother taught you that much at the least. Pretty soon I can move out of my father's house and go out on my own. I have been planning a trip with a couple of friends for a while now though nothing too extravagant. I don't make much money anyway and I hate asking him for money. I want to show him I can be independent. And you? How old are you old man?"

Ino looked intently at the man, giving off an inquisitive air about her.

"Still living with your father, so you're still a kid..." Shin got all the information he needed when she said that and it was safe to say he was thoroughly disappointed at the age difference between them, it could be heard in his tone. "Well that puts a dampener on my mood" Shin fell backwards and looked up at the sky with his hands behind his head "Making me babysit, my first female student and I can't even hit on her." He said to himself though you may have been able to hear him.

Hearing you continue to ramble on after the information that disappointed him only fell on deaf ears. "Imotou (Little sis) I'm teaching you about your clan's techniques. Now tell me what you know about our clan's history and techniques and tell me the relationship and contrasts it has from genjutsu..."

Ino was a very bright and she knew when people were talking about her. You can call it a woman's intuition if you will. She gave a rather disapproving gesture as she put both hands on her hips and simply nodded at Shin. She spoke in a stern tone that seemed to befit an adult who had experienced much hardships.

"I may be young but I am not blind to the suffering of the world. I simply want to help it even at the cost of my own life. My village, though it may have its shadows, when contrasted with the sunshine, it makes for a very dynamic people. Though they all have their agendas, hidden or not, I can only trust that it works in the same way to help maintain the beauty of this village for generations to come. I don't understand why you would leave nor have you given me any reason to doubt you. I only hope that in your own way, you fight hard for your village. Wherever it is you call home."

Ino then opened her eyes to reveal a dazzling beauty and bright eyes that revealed the optimism of youth and their disregard for the real truths of the world. She then switched to a more casual tone, speaking to Shin as if he were a comrade though well beyond her age (possibly older >_>).

"I can honestly say that I have not been interested in my clans history that much. All it seems to me are a bunch of grumpy men talking like they know what is best for everyone. I do however know how our abilities work, to an extent. I would think you know about it better than me."

Ino then leans a little bit forward, looking at Shin straight in the eye.

"I can see it in your eyes, Shin."

She then leaned back and continued her answer.

"Our clan centers on the ability to transfer our consciousness onto other subjects though it is limited by our ability and focus. If I wanted, I could transfer my mind to that bird up there, and as I soar above the cerulean skies, I could watch over you. However the drawback is that since my consciousness is in another place, by body will become vulnerable. Anyone could attack it if not guarded well and in the end I could end up the one losing. Our clans techniques require great tact and chakra control to utilize to its full potential. With our ability to transfer our consciousness, we can also relay information via telepathy, whether it come from us or another person (though it requires direct physical contact).

I've never really thought that extensively about the Yamanaka's ability when compared with genjutsu. I assume the only correlation is that we are both sending our chakra to our target but the major differences is in what you do with that chakra. Genjutsu focuses on the senses and tricking you into experiencing something that really isn't there. It's more prominent use can be seen with the Uchiha and Kurama clan. Our clan's techniques not only transfers our chakra but also our "consciousness". I am hard pressed to describe it to you but it is like our soul, it is what keeps us alive and to know that we are alive. Transferring it to another being, we can control their movements though it doesn't allow us to perform ninjutsu or anything else other than reverting that control back to our bodies. It does take us time to return back though so it is not without its consequences. It isn't meant to be used out in the open but somewhere safe from exposure especially to attacks. I don't know if I mentioned this but any harm we receive while inside a host, we likewise receive that damage to our original bodies including death."

Ino takes a quick moment to think whether she adequately explained the differences between the Yamanaka Clan Techniques and Genjutsu. SHe felt that is the best she understood since she wasn't well versed in genjtusu and its techniques (only D-Rank lol). She however had a basic concept down thanks to an old friend (thank you Vision!). She apologizes to Shin as she bends herself slightly forward in a bow.

"Sorry I didn't explain everything well to you, sensei. This is to the best of my knowledge."

"Shut up..." Shin's tone was low and murderous in intent finally reaching his annoyance with the level of needless talking you were doing around him. He looked at you with the grim eyes of a shinobi who has killed in cold blood countless times before. The look in his eyes projected the image of you being speared through by several kunai and falling to the ground just before Shin appeared before you lunging a final stab with his blade down into your throat. In short, he made you experience how he'd kill you if you didn't be quiet and listen.

(Sakki) - Killing Intent
Rank: D - S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: N/A
Description: Killing Intent pertains to the ability of the user giving off their pure killing intention and having it affect their opponent and others around them up to the point of paralyzing them. When the Killing Intent is particularly strong, it can even give the victim visions of their own gruesome death, nausea, pain, etc. This can cause the Killing Intent to be confused with a genjutsu, despite not being a genjutsu at all; simply a showcase of intention and power. The target will feel as if facing an overwhelming enemy and, even if not a sensor, will suddenly feel the pressure of the users chakra and its magnitude, making the effect that much more dramatic. To effectively be used, the user needs to focus on his target and concentrate on the killing intent towards it, meaning that one must see the target and be focused on it. The strength of the Killing Intent is dependent on many factors and go through several levels. If a difference in rank smaller than 2 ranks exist, the enemy will feel only the pressure and the ominous presence of their dark intentions. Its enough to lose your grasp on a weapon or stay clinched to it (depending on the situation) or even to hesitate in an attack, stumble or mess up a handseal, all depending on the situation and proximity. The effect is small and normally not that significant but can be effectively used to pressure enemies into making a mistake. If a difference of 2 ranks or more exist, the enemy will be frozen, almost unable to move as the overwhelming killing intent dominates their own conscious and riddles them with nightmarish versions of death. The paralyzation gradually weakens as time passes and can only be maintained while the user is focused on the target. The further away the target, the weaker it is and it can only fully paralyze a target within short range. Similarly, the more targets one focuses on, the weaker the effect is in each one (divinding the effects equally between the number of targets). Lastly, the stronger the user is in relation to the target, the stronger the effect will be. The target can counter Killing Intent directed at it through pain, "mind cleansing" techniques or their own Killing Intent.
Note: Intensity of technique depends on the rank of the user, distance to target and number of targets one is focusing on
Note: Can only be used once
Note: Lasts only while the user is focusing on it and while focusing on it the user can't mold chakra

"If there's one thing I hate, it's sassy little brats like you. Play time is over now we're getting the knit and grit. First thing's first, when I ask you a question I want the answer and nothing more and I don't want the run around. Second you will respect me, I don't have to respect you but give me reason to like you and we could have a healthy relationship, however if anything I'm also teaching you how to deal with those higher than you as well. Now then

It's truly a shame you know nothing about your history. Inoichi must be ashamed or just plain ignorant to how little you know. Nevertheless pay close attention. Have you ever understood the relationship you have with your teammates? I did some reading and you're part of the Ino-Shika-Cho of Konoha. For generations, even before Konoha existed, the three clans of Yamanaka, Nara, and Akimichi have had strong ties with one another. The team of Ino-Shika-Cho is the symbol of those ties; as the Yamanaka we are the Ino as is your name. Your compatibility with your teammates is no joke. And, as part of that team you hold a specific roll which comes in the form of our superior mind manipulation techniques. Generally they are dependant on the Shika/Nara clan's ability to restrain their opponents in order for us to have a clear path to them for our techniques. However I'm going to teach you how to be independent from your teammates so that you can utilize these techniques without the need for aid. A house is only as strong as the pillars that hold it up. If the team of Ino-shika-cho is the house than the individual beams of Yamanaka, Nara, and Akimichi must be strong, understand?"

Ino could feel the cold chills down her spine as Shin looked at her with an evil intention. It wasn't like Sasuke's glare so long ago that seemed so cold and distant. This was more of an intent to kill her. Her suspicions had been confirmed as to whether something traumatic had happened to Shin. Though he had seemed like quite a casual fellow, inside he harbored a hate she could barely understand since most of her life she had been pampered into thinking the world is nothing but sunshine and smiles. She was once again brought to a place of fear and helplessness. As Shin's chakra began to weigh down heavily on her she could feel herself shaking and unable to move. She thought to herself as his stare continued.

"Oh my god...is this what it feels like to lose hope? To feel like I am useless? I have worked so hard these many years to train myself but I feel at a loss right now. I'm scared...I feel such malice and hate...such turmoil...I'm going crazy!"

Ino began to feel more and more trapped. She felt so claustrophobic and scared that she couldn't take it anymore. She screamed in agony.

"Aaaaaaaaaggggghhhhh!"

It was then that she felt Shin release her from his hold. She thought to herself, "What was that? He must really hate me." Ino came to the realization that taking the casual route wouldn't work with this man. If anything she now believed she would have to be a little more formal like in school. If there was one thing she was good at and better at than Sakura, was her resourcefulness and couth. As she composed herself from having knelt to the floor earlier, she dusted herself off and continued with her response after Shin's speech.

"My apologies, sensei. I forgot my place and mistook your kindness for something else."

She looked up at him with a determination to keep going despite her folly.

"Yes...I understand, sensei. When we become Chuunin, as per tradition, the Sarutobi clan presents us with a pair of special earrings to signify that we are recognized by our own clan leaders as adults and to strengthen our bonds not only with the Akimichi and Nara clan, but the Sarutobi as well. I know I may seem insolent at first but my dedication and determination is strong. I want to learn how to be stronger and more efficient.

And please don't blame my father. It was my indifference that led me to knowing so little about our clan."

Ino tightens her fists as she looks down realizing how pathetic she had acted. She promised to herself that she wouldn't let her team down by screwing her only opportunity to become stronger.

Shin took his finger and dug out the wax that came up in his ear from your scream. "Yeah, right wonderful, just don't scream anymore. You don't have to wet your pants like that." Shin's mannerisms and attitude went back to how they were a moment ago as if he were a completely different person than the one that showed you the visions of your death.

"Now then time to address you issue with the relationship between Yamanaka techniques and genjutsu. First lets talk about the similarities. What do both Yamanaka techniques and genjutsu have in common? They both attack the mind and the reason they do so is because they have a high degree of Yin chakra. Not very sure how adept you are in the knowledge of chakra so I'll give you a brief explanation.

Now I'm sure you know well of the five elemental chakra natures: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning and the various other combinations of those five that create advanced elements or Kekkei Genkai and Kekkei Tota. However there exists chakra outside those realms which are called Yin chakra and Yang chakra; more commonly expressed as raw chakra. Yin and Yang chakra are the building blocks for all non-elemental ninjutsu. That means our ninjutsu techniques are a dualism between Yin and Yang chakra. Techniques that dwell within the mind: attacking the mind, creating illusions, hallucinations, hypnosis, darkness, etc, etc. are techniques that considered to have a higher proportion of Yin. Genjutsu is commonly referred to as 'Yin Release' for that very matter.

Now then, this allows us to trickle right into the division between our techniques and genjutsu. While both techniques attack the mind, one is real and the other is not (bar very special circumstances). As I just said a moment ago all non-elemental ninjutsu are constructs of both Yin and Yang chakra. As our techniques are indeed ninjutsu we have that dualism while genjutsu typically does not. Our techniques are physical and provide actual physical affects unto our opponent and our own bodies. This physical or 'real' property comes from the Yang portion. Yang chakra is used to breath life or rather to bring what isn't already a reality into reality. So where we have the concept of mind transfer, or mind manipulation (our Yin portion) and the ability to transfer that to our opponents in order to create a physical occurrence (our Yang portion) we have techniques that attack the mind our opponents.

This is a lot of information so if you have questions, please feel free."
