I (semi) recently finished the available episodes of the Blue Exorcist anime, and I'm a little confused.

1. I have read that the anime and the manga stem off in two different directions, is this a major discrepancy and does it ever merge together again?

2. Is the current ending of the Anime the actual ending? It seemed like a major ending point, however it also seemed to be a simple season ender. Will there be future seasons airing at all?

3. Is the manga ongoing? If the manga is as significantly different from the anime as I have heard, it makes sense that the series is not over yet. Does anyone know if the manga is in continuation currently or not?

Sounds pretty decent to me. I can live with that. Guess i have to start reading.

I've just started reading the manga and so far i like it. I've also been watching tha anime as well on adult swim so far so good.
