Fillers are anime episodes not based on the manga. Kishimoto does not control the anime, only the manga. TV Tokyo does them, and they're annoying because the original storywriter did not make them, so they have no connection to the plot or anything. It's not canon, just the fanfiction of someone in charge, basically. And I like fanfiction. But fillers piss me off.

fillers are non cannon pieces of the series that have nothing to do with the plot or progression of the plot

People hate fillers because of the answer to the next question

Fillers are not apart of the story as explained in the answer to question 1, and this also answers question 2.

Fillers are usually made for the purpose of buying time. we call it wasting cause we are waiting for the real story, but for him hes buying time so that either the manga can get farther ahead or so that the anime does not end so soon so he can keep making money off of it.

i hate fillers because they are irrelevant to the story. ill go back and watch them after i have no more episodes to watch

Kia doesn't create filled. For the most part people dont like them because they dont contribute to the main story. Also fillers aren't canon so no, they're not part of the story

to be fair some of them are quite awesome. i really enjoyed the chikara fillers, the akatsuki fillers and the kakashi fillers. also some war arc fillers had a great concept but were done poorly. i think the biggest problem with fillers is the timing, as well as the fact there are so many.....
also there are HORRIBLE ones like the one with konohamaru and the sumos or that ninja ostrich XD

fillers actually are episodes tha are NOT written from the mangaka (kishi) but from the animators. Usually this happens to make up distance between the anime and the manga because anime episodes sometimes get really close to manga...
Anyway anything not written in the manga is considered filler and its not part of the main story.

A : Non-canon, not manga related story used to fill up the gap between arcs or for stretching out the story.
A : Most of the fillers doesn't have creativity. They are childish.
A : Nope. they are not but advice is taken from Kishimoto if the animators plan to introduce a non-canon (but related to main characters) into the fillers (example : Sakura's parents)
A : Kishi has nothing to do with the anime section. Mostly the fillers. He doesn't care whether they are good or not even average.

Fillers are episodes that don't have any inpact on the main story

On most of the time they are boring
The filler on previous episode, Kakashis real face was not boring for christsake. What r u joke-blind.
After a main movie or storyline some episodes which are casual are known as fillers, they do not have any impact on the main story.

1) Episodes in the anime which are made so they will reach the manga, and also so the anime wouldn't stop because theyre out of material.

2) They delay the main story. You know.

3) No. They are fillers. They "fill" up. The manga aint have any fillers. The manga is only cannon, correct me if Im wrong.

4) I explained this in Q1

Fillers are episodes that appear in the anime but not the manga. People often hate them because they are boring and almost always irrelevant to the manga plot (which is canon/official). The manga is controlled by Kishimoto, but the anime is not, which is why filler arcs tend to have terrible, pointless stories. Fillers are used to the anime running for a longer period of time and prevent it from catching up to the manga too quickly. To my knowledge, there have only been 2 characters introduced in fillers that eventually became canon - Raiga & Utakata. Although most filler arcs are despised by fans of the series, there are 2 that well liked - the 12 Guardian Ninja arc (which gave Asuma a background story and depicted Naruto trying to master Wind Style) and the Shadow of the ANBU arc (which expanded on Kakashi's background by showing what he did after Obito and Rin died, and also gave more background to Itachi, Shisui, and the Uchiha massacre, as well as established a connection between Itachi and Kakashi that existed before the series began).
