How good is a ninja's hearing ?

That always puzzled me. How they could be miles apart (like Madara-Obito-Juubi vs Naruto and SA) but they still could casually talk. I know there is some weirder shit going in the manga but come on, that's plenty of weird right ?

Maybe they have super hearing or a voice enhancing jutsu. I vote for the latter. Super hearing would mean no sneaking up on them or no hiding from them, which happended a lot.

I should have added that with that kind of hearing, sneaking on them should be impossible, even for a stealthy ninja.

Unless they have 100 Sneaking lol ( Elder Scroll reference )

Well they can hear it if the dialogue box goes to the next panel and then the person can just read it from that point.

Its like panel no jutsu

Naruto is talking quite normally but Madara and Obito still knows what he was saying (maybe sharing lip reading related) but Naruto too could hear what they were saying. See how far away they were from each other ?

Apparently, the genin were capable enough to copy someone's writing just by hearing them write!!

I can only imagine how good at hearing current god mode naruto and Sasuke are.
