Agreed, Itachi was throwing Sasuke around like a ragdoll. . .and even that was probably more due superior shunshins and reaction time, but nonetheless Sasuke was overwhelmed.

Sasuke also dodged Itachi's entire arsenal as well and even managed to overpower him in their katon skirmish. Regular and CS2 Lightning techs definitely give Sasuke the edge on both raw power and versatility in the ninjutsu category.

Agreed.

Means nothing when you haven't the proper tools to dispose of the threat.

Sasuke isn't immortal, even Kunais would kill him, intelligence is deadly. Especially since Itachi dodged his arsenal so he's not being threatened. Sasuke did dodge Itachi's techs...but this comes in to speculation on how hard was Itachi trying in that fight? An example is Itachi only using one crow clone when he threw kunais.

I should add that Sasuke did not break Itachi's genjutsu immediately....it took two times of killing Itachi before he broke it. So Itachi still does have a genjutsu superiority here which does give him the edge, and i'm still calling BS that Sasuke broke Tsukuyomi on his own, it seemed obvious Itachi forced him to break it by "slowly, dramatically coming for his other eye." I know he can't use Tsukuyomi here, i'm just stating how good Itachi is at genjutsu w/o it.

Honestly sick Itachi's stamina is not as low as people claim. 1 Tsukuyomi, 2 Amaterasus (which covered the entire hideout), and Susano'o while fighting Orochimaru. His stamina isn't getting in his way here. Actually Sasuke has it worse because of Oral rebirth being a big drainer.

2 Tsukuyomi's actually :p, and that much Amaterasu was more than I've ever seen Sasuke create as well as the fact that he had to put some of it out which even a healthy Sasuke strained immensely and suffered huge backlash while doing.

If itachi doesn't use izanami then sasuke wins. Sasuke's got cursed seal plus oro's powers. I don't see how sasuke loses. His taijutsu is equal and ninjutsu superior. Genjutsu doesn't count for shit. Has he got manda as well? I'd say sasuke high-extreme diff it will be a close match that's for sure.

Taijutsu is equal? Lmfao. Manda is useless seeing as how it'll be under Itachi's Genjutsu in an instant. Ninjutsu is moot, but Genjutsu will still rape Sasuke and lead to his defeat. Itachi both let him escape and had to point out multiple times that he was under a Genjutsu as well as wait for him to escape it instead of attacking while he was under it.

Sasuke wins.

Itachi wasn't trying to kill, but he wasn't going easy on Sasuke either.
Sasuke countered everything and would've killed him if not for Susanoo.

Itachi wasn't trying at all. He had a chance to incapacitate him multiple times. However, if he did, he would of gotten obvious chances to kill him, and with Pain, Konan, Tobi, Zetsu, and Kisame all watching, it would make it blatantly obvious that he wasn't trying to kill him, which would result in them informing Sasuke that Itachi wasn't, in fact, trying, which would lead to Sasuke questioning everything and eventually finding out the truth behind Itachi, which is exactly what Itachi didn't want to happen.

Well when you combine itachi's superior hand to hand combat (while he was using mangekyou) with sasuke's superior kenjustu and tool usage (enhanced with chidori) I think it cancels out. In fact sasuke may have the upper hand.

Using Mangekyo only grants you unique Genjutsu/Ninjutsu prowess, but it does not enhance his Taijutsu, perception, or precognition in the slightest. And no, Sasuke isn't superior in kenjutsu at all. It doesn't cancel out, seeing as how Itachi would of killed him with sheer Taijutsu right in the beginning with ease.

Itachi pooped on him in hand to hand combat.

Zetsu stated Itachi should have easily dodged the shuriken attack.

Hell even while they had their little ninja star battle Itachi was able to get a clone off w/o Sasuke even noticing.

It always bothers me that we will never know to what extent Itachi held back, or if he held back in specific scenes while going full force in others. The example you listed is one in which I would probably agree that Itachi was not going full force, but lets not forget he wasn't throwing punches the entire either.

The way this scan was set up made it seem that they were pretty even in terms of 3T genjutsu. That's just my opinion though.

Never been one to jump on the Itachi has low stamina bandwagon. . .it's just outlandish. Without the use of MS he should pretty much be able to spam his techs for the entire duration of the match. Hell, not using MS as hard as he did probably would have kept living a little longer.

I went back and yea Sasuke did easily counter his 3T genjutsu, so I'll take that back.

Idk, I remember Itachi having to point his fingers towards the chair he was really sitting on because Sasuke didn't know he was under his Genjutsu.

Yes he is superior because he uses chidori to enhance the power and range of shurikens. How would he have killed him with ease? All I saw was an even battle until he used tsukuyomi, which sasuke broke through. Up till then and beyond it was even. Sasuke didn't even use v2 cursed seal powers. With this he can further enhance taijutsu as well as ninjutsu.

But he countered it with oto's powers. He has a counter for everything itachi throws at him. Tell me how itachi can counter sasuke's v2 cursed seal enhanced fire style jutsus?

Wasn't Sasuke still under a Genjutsu even then?

Edit: yeah I just checked. Itachi still had his Genjutsu active. Sasuke thought he saw through that Genjutsu Itachi pointed out for him but didn't. Read the next chapter. It shows it. Sausage was tricked and Itachi waited for him to figure it out instead of killing him
