Background Information
Hanzo was born in Konohagakure, but she was raised and still remains there as a powerful shinobi. Her Parents were both from Konoha and her father was part of the Nara clan and they moved to Sunagakure, he taught her how to use the ability and also other important aspects of Ninjutsu. Hanzo eventually passed the Sand Academy and passed the Chunin exam when it was hosted in Kumogakure, a couple months later her father died when on a mission and now she looks after her mother.
At the age of 22 she became a Jonin and started to take on groups of 3 genin, a lot of her students didn't do so well and she either failed them, and after 3 years of training students she didn't like it so stopped teaching and went back to missions with shinobi of her rank. She had a good mission record and became a squad leader of some 5 Jonin known as the Suna Task Force.
At the age of 26 she was asked by the newly elected Kazekage to be one of his guards. After a lot of thinking she accepted and became a successful guard, saving him from a couple of assassination attempts and after a lot of time together became close friends.

Taijutsu
Hanzo is a very strong Taijutsu user and prefers the use of her legs when she fights, relying on them a lot as they are well built and more powerful than her fist strikes. She Mastered Taijutsu before the elements and became a specialist in it, being quicker and stronger than the average shinobi.
Wind
Wind Release is the element she is most specialized in, her first element and her most favourite. She is very swift when using it and only needs to perform 1 hand seal to use them.
Shadow
Her Hidden Ability was taught to her by her father at Sunagakure, she was slow at learning this at first as it didn't suit her. She finally completed her training and got used to it and became better than a lot of the Nara users.
Tools
It doesn't look like Hanzo carries many tools, but she actually has some kunai and shuriken hidden in her large sleeves and one ninja pouch on the back of her waist with flash bombs and other useful tools. Sometimes she carries a standard Katana into war or on missions.
