I dont' know where im going with this but yeah, i kinda found it interesting whilst rereading past naruto manga chapters.

Did you ever wonder why BZ recorded fights? Especially involving Naruto or Sasuke he was trying to find the best bloodline to manipulate for Kaguya so he can awaken her or he was gathering info for Kaguya on the transmigrations of Ashura and Indra.... Madara was dead at the time so he obviously needed a back up porn bar Obito, who I belive Zetsu was neturing to replace Madara as Kaguya's pawn, however Madara was revived and he was choosen to play the puppet


Zetsu also claimed to be the "Land itself" possibly a nod to the fact that he is Mokuton and that stems from Kaguya and therefore the Juubi, he was created using the Juubi's power, and Kaguya must have began her plan after Madara summoned the Gedou and began absorbing it's power.


Just adding **** up, but it all makes sense if you dissect it...


Also makes Kishi seem like he knows what he's doing ​

When zetsu stated he was the land itself, that was when he was coated on white Zetsu's other half.

He was able to merge and travel throughout the whole land.

That was what was being implied, you can't hide from him.

Now that it was destroyed by choujiro....

He's just a black chakra rod in a shape of humanoid blob.

Meaning, he controls whatever he pierces (black rods)

The main thing I would even say is a foreshadow to this would be when kabuto says "the key to our army is zetsu" after mentioning th ten tails. Bz sounds almost scared asking "how much do you know?"
