Had Elton John, african choirs and some amaaaazing talent in it, it's a classic. Lion King 2 is a cheaply made straight-to-DVD sequel Disney did in the late 90s to make a little bit of money whilst putting as little effort as possible into them is all i'm saying. It wasn't made to be a good film, just to catch some money from the success of the first without spending much money on the animation or film quality.

Nothing in that straight-to-video sequel has anything that can compare to Be Prepared or Just Can't Wait to be King. Just saying, generally The Lion King is considered the best animated feature of all time...I think it got like #15 best film of all time in EMPIRE this month or something? Christ, wow.

Didn't the second get panned by critics too? Eesh.
