Madara needed Kyubis help and he's Indra's reincarnation.

Yeah, there relationship was more of an ideal type thing. Even then it's not exactly like Indra's and Ashura's relationship.

Sasuke and Naruto's relationship is almost exactly like theirs.

I agree, if anything it looks like a pseudo susanoo, with its multiple arms and two heads. Kinda puts me in the mind of maddy's multi limbed susanoo

There's no such thing as "fake susanoo", just as there's no such thing as slût sage mode. Naruto not getting no susanoo!!!

It also looks more like susanoo. Notice the 2 heads? Similar to susanoo. Notice the black stripes on its chest? That looks like susanoo ribcage. Notice how Ashura's in the chest instead of on the head? Again, similar to susanoo. Multiple arms are also similar to susanoo. Either A. he wasn't a jinchuriki (most likely), or B. he equaled his brother at some point, and then they both got power ups.

I agree that Ashura's battle avatar was his own innate power that he awakened as Hagoromo said he did.

And if it weren't for Minato having f'n BM for no real reason, I'd say Naruto being Ashura's reincarnation would explain why Naruto's BM looks so drastically different from other Bijuu chakra shrouds.

He was not host like Naruto, but it does matter, because foolish people wanted to believe it.

Ashura was a fodder; he couldn't have been a jin.

Look at the size of his battle avatar compared to Indra's Susanoo. That screams fodder.

This actually suggests that Naruto./Ashura has/had a Sussano equivalent. Yay no more rasengans!!

Ashura perfect bijuu form has three faces, just like that statue representing Naruto.

Well, I dunno if Ashura was capable to know about the future of Bijuus if he have them sealed inside him. If he knew they would come back, there was no reason to not be a jinchuuriki. If he had no idea bijuus could come back after jinchuurikis death, he would obviously let bijuus free.

I can't anything else than Ashura being way stronger than Indra.

Hashirama was able to defeat Madara when he had Susanoo + Kyuubi. And Hashirama had nothing but his own chakra. So I believe that things have always been like that. Ashura > Indra.

The only thing in manga close to susanoo is uchiha susanoo, bm and summons

Hashi always beated maddy

Sasuke always beated naruto

And indra >>> ashura all his life

Bad comparison

As the direct son of Hagoromo, Ashura was probably powerful himself and awakened his abilities later on through training. I don't think Ashura needed tailed beasts to become strong like Naruto

I feel ashura is a jin, because of the marks on his avatar, u simply can't get those marks over some random avatar unless u have that complex seal(same as naruto's seal performed by minato to seal kurama in him) well they look the same so I do think he is a Jin. But we can't say.
+ rep for the good work.

Either he was jin either bijus gave him some chakra due to ninshuu crap, another scenario could be chakra of all his friends.
Beasts were created prior to elder bros battle.

I agree he wasn't. That avatar he has must be a product of yang power or something...
^^^This and i call ashura avatar yang susanno. And like other people already said if ashura did have the biju they would have said something about it to naruto when he met them
