And no raiden isn't a chidori variant so it doesn't suffer from chidori drawbacks.

No losing kamui reduced him from a level more than kage to jounin and that's what i am trying to say.
Really.not chidori variant?he is attacking his opponent by running at a very high speed running in straight line,which is exactly the drawback of chidori.He is exposed to his opponents attack as he can predict there movement without sharigan

Kakashi uses Raiden while standing still, it's like Sasuke's Chidori Spear but unlike CS it doesn't only moves in a straight line but attacks the target from any direction...

He's using a chain of pure lightning to restrain or dismember his opponent. Nothing in the scan suggests running at high speed in both cases it was used. And ibn both cases it was used it was to subdue his opponent. He didn't hit the jins he merely cut the chakra arms. In its second use he restrained the gedo mazo's foot.
