Sakura isn't reacting rationally, and Naruto is just being Naruto. Someone needed to react to a panicked situation rationally and assert a sense of order. Yea, kinda. He has to react somehow. So its not the ******* part. but you say its for sakuras protection. Naruto tried to run out last chapter and Sasuke stopped him. Im pretty sure they could stop Sakura.
