It is definitely odd that the cocoon is lop sided and the rest are perfectly straight. And the fact that Orochimaru DID the curse mark isn't a useless panel either. He has yet to do anything with that particular curse mark.. so, like most people I pray it's orochimaru. And as the other guy said. I hope black zetsu may somehow be in his control? Because, then Orochimaru can have what he always wanted and take control of Madara's body.

Kabuto also cant deflect it. IT uses sun light rays so if the light even touches you, you're under it. But, as long as orochimaru has a part of his consciousness in the world like he did on Sasuke he is still alive and well.

Just read the manga: Right panel shows Orochimaru's cocoon loosened with one strap loosened up. Look at the central panel. There is no strap anymore, which means the second one snapped and it's falling. Bottom panel shows a burst animation. To top it all of there are sound effects showing as well. Don't just skim through things.

As of right now, IT has stopped, the light needed to initiate it anyways. That's why Sasuke has let his susanno disperse.
