Despite her father being just killed, it is already her biggest dream to have him alive and seeing her popular. The only reason Sai and Sasuke were the two in it is because they are both attractive and desirable, so them wanting her is the epitome of popular

she's not madly in love with him and doesn't try hard to get with him like sakura does, he's just a person that she finds attractive & would settle down with, if sasuke ever liked her, she would go out with him, that sort of thing
