I been trying to comprehend on why Hagoromo gifted Sasuke with a portion of his powers just for him to continue being a douchebag to all of his friends and allies, despite the fact that he should had learned by now the concept of teamwork and having those around you. It's even more troublesome to know that he did the same thing with Naruto who had to give him an entire speech about his friends and what he fights for.

It's the equivalent (to me at least) of giving the spoiled child some candy just to get him to shut up about not getting the cool stuff like his brother.
