Netero twice as stong in his prime? Where does it state this?

I've been reading a lot of posts on different forums (including this) where people said it was stated that netero was twice as strong in his prime as compared to how he was when he fought Meruem

Where does the manga or anime state this? I can't find it anywhere :S

I remember a part where he said to the other 2 guys (when arriving near Chimera castle) that he's only 50% of his prime.

In the Manga.... At his old age he was stronger than roughly 90% of the hunters or more at his OLD age..... I feel while young and exuberant he'd best Meruem and Mature Gon at the same time with very high difficulty..... Imho one on one easily..... It is said in the Manga I believe.... what it is you search for.

Netero is like the Hiruzen of HXH, that means he had a prime. Its also mentioned in the manga that Netero was not at full power when he fought Meruem, meaning that in his full power or in his youth he could have bested Meruem.
