did the akatsuki know the secret behind pein

Was Pein's secret known by the rest of the Akatsuki members? Meaning did they know that Pein was really Nagato or was that something that only Obito knew.

Itachi would not have did anything this stupid because he would know the first to get fingers pointed at would be him because he was the only Akatsuki originally from the leaf.

You realize Itachi knew things that could have helped Konoha and didn't speak on it. Also Itachi and Nagato pearing should be more than enough proof that Itachi knew of Nagato since he didn't bother to ask who he was or how he had the Rinnagan which should make it clear that he was aware of him.

Saying that Itachi was aware of Nagato's secret and simply chose not to speak of it is flat out ridiculous. He would never have kept something so important as a secret, a simple child should be able to figure that out.
