Does his brother's staff have a different symbol?

To me it doesn't look like a moon or a sun.

Could this add further evidence that Hagoromo's brother gave descendants that formed 2 separate clans, each related to the symbol of his staff?

My biggest question is why did the lineage of Hagoromo's brother disappear? I mean, maybe they're still around, but we've never heard about a brother of the So6P until now, so it's safe to assume that he had kids as well. Why he was cut out of history still remains a mystery.

No lie never thought of this. This would actually make alot of sense.
As Hyuuga have a ocular jutsu as strong if not stronger then sharingan and uzamaki have a strong life and chakra reserves as good if not better then senju (just lacking the physical strength), while the hyuuga are lacking the strong power after hatred.

with the way the Hyuugas guard their secrets this is probably it... that and the uzamaki's were all but wiped out. I doubt the hyuugas would want it known that their eye power came from the Demon Goddess
