u do know naruto has senjutsu of so6p and can sense clones of limbo world so he can sense all the people getting mummified by tree.That is why he reacted.

Naruto never give a crap about that fodder except one time when he got solo by pain and hinato tried to rescue him. So naruto had to squeeze out some more plot no jujuice because even a fodder is saving his ass
