Was entire Village aware that Kushina was 9-tails Jinch?

I wasnt ever really sure about this.. It seemed everyone really liked her alot(after academy) people werent afraid of her like most Jinch. It's pretty amazing she never lost control of Kyuubi when everyone was beating up on her in the academy and when she got kidnapped..

They probably were aware that she was, but they didn't hate her like they did Naruto. The village only started to hate the Kyubi because of its rampage which happened after Kushina was his Jinchuriki

I think it was only known by the Leaf higher ups. Everyone in the village assumed it was a natural disaster.
